Since 12th February 2023,I stopped eating
    1. Table Sugar
    2. Rice ( All types)
    3. Bakery Products ( Refined Carbohydrates)
    4. Flavored Drinks ( Nescafé, Nestea etc )
    5. Soda drinks ( Coca Cola, Sprite, Fanta etc..)
& adapted to a 12 hour Fasting at Night.
Recorded Fasting Blood Glucose Every Morning and graphed with excel & monitored the fluctuations & managed to maintain it two months average of 96.5 mg/dl. Increased intake of Protein (Chicken, Fish, Eggs,Salmon), Olive oil & Green Leafy Veggies (Mainly Cauliflower, Beans, Okra, Brokali & Parsley). During the day I had some milk with added coffee and dark chocolates ( 50% of Cocoa made in Sri Lanka) & occasionally some curd with one or two teaspoons of Honey.
My HBA1c dropped from 9.3 to 5.7 by 12th April 2023 (Within exactly 60 days). Weight loss exactly 8kg. My BMI is exactly 22. I am so happy to bring down My HBA1c to None Diabetic level without any doctor fees, Prescription Drug Fees, Unnecessary Lab Report Fees & without time wasting.
I am planning to drop it to 5 by 12 th May 2023.
Meantime, I got my Lipid Profile, eGFR (Kidney Function Test), Complete Liver Profile, Full Blood Count & Specially the C - Peptide Report that measured the functionality of pancreas & all reports are almost perfect.
My special Thanks going to Prof. Robet Lustig, Dr.Jason Fung, Dr. Sten Ekberg, Dr.KenDBerryMD, Nature’s path to wellness and My wife for preparing the delicious meals without Carbs.

This video is where i started. Just passed the 400th day of following his video's and doing keto, fasting etc. My body seems to be shaped normal again. Lost about 30kg. And beyond that sleep, energy, sports and more have all been improved crazy. My body clearly didnt like the carbs and the 3 meals a day. And finally I am at a point where it feels my body and I are one thing again. Its crazy how knowing my body has had a similar effect on mind and soul.

Thankyou Doctor Ekberg. I have been following your advice for 7 weeks now. Started doing 16/8 after a week or so found my hunger wasn't there and went to 20/4 without even trying to really, just happened naturally. So 7 weeks on I am down 16lbs and about 5cm around the waist. Feel better, have more energy and less lethargic. Walk at least twice a week for only 45 minutes but good aerobic cardio without damaging the knees. Thanks so much for your help and motivation. If there was a Nobel health prize I'll vote for you. Cheers. Rob

Through your teachings I have been able to do intermittent fasting for 16 hours (for the entire December, 2019 - but 3 days in a week). During my fasting i have green tea (one tea bag in 1 litre of water) I have managed to practice it, this is coupled with 30 minutes evening walk. This goes well with low carb diet. For the entire December I have lost 4 kg. Thanks alot.

It's really annoying that we've been hoodwinked by the food industry for so many years.
I'm one of those that has followed so many fad diets - then put the weight back on again. The knock on effect is that it becomes harder and slower to lose weight - in fact, I couldn't even lose weight whilst living on 3 sugar-loaded smoothies per day - prescribed by a doctor!
Well at last, eating low carb and including non-starchy vegetables has allowed me to lose 42 pounds and I'm enjoying the 'journey' - and this excellent channel.

I have been doing keto since March of last year with fasting. I have lost about 70 lbs so far and my blood glucose is now normalized. My blood pressure is now normal. Right now I am doing alternate day eating.to get past a weight loss plateau. I am dropping again now. I think about 180 lbs might be right but the thing I am looking at is my waist circumference. I want it half of my height. Thirty five or less inches. I am lifting weights 3 times a week and hiking 2 to 3 times a week about 5 miles average. I will be 67 next month but am in the best shape of my life. I wish I knew this 40 years ago.

I have been doing the intermitten fasting for 16 days (16:8). I eat twice a day during the eating window. I weighed myself and the scale showed that I haven't lost any weight. I was upset but then I realized my fasting is not useless. At least I can fast with ease now and this is something that I can do long term. I will change from eating two times to omad. I will eat more protein and fat, and take less carbs and sugar. Thank you.

They probably want you to fail to prove to themselves that they can't do anything about their own situation. Not because they care about you. People look for all sorts of excuses to not do anything about themselves instead of looking for inspiration to do something about themselves. Turn their attitudes into your inspiration. You don't need to prove them anything. Just be a bit better version of yourself on all levels every day.

Watched a show last night... they tested a tribe in Africa for how many calories they burn walking 8 km a day compared to the typical sedentary American... they burn the same amount of calories. The body had a set metabolism. It’s what you eat. They don’t eat any transformés food; it’s all about meat and what vegetation they find... the occasional treat of honey I suppose. They only drink water.

Thanks again Doc. I looked at the keto lifestyle a couple of years ago, gave it a shot reluctantly, got a hell of a shock, in eleven days I lost seven kilos without any effort, probably fluid but that gave me so much incentive. Today I am trim and fit, even the loose skin has nearly disappeared due to the occasional twenty four hour fast. I recommend this lifestyle to all the sceptics as I was.

What finally works for me in intermittent fasting. I never ever thought I could do it because I would eat every 2 hours, even through the night. I started to stop eating by 5:30pm and than start my fast till the next morning at 10-11am. Right now I’m fasting for 18 hours instead of 16 and I feel great. When I’m hungry, I drink water and coffee. I lost so much doing this. I also don’t eat sugar, bread, pasta, crackers, or any carbs in that form. I eat peas with carbs. I been eating 2 meals a day with 1 small snack in between. It’s the only way I lose weight but I really enjoy your videos. That’s my secret to weight lost. I know people can lose weight on carbs but it just bloats me so bad and feel terrible. It works for me.

I change my diet Breakfast: 1 boiled egg and 1 avocado then drink hot water with 1/4 lemon. 12 noon I drink 1 cup of coffee lunch: quinoa with meat chicken/beef with veggies like broccoli or beans or cauliflower. Dinner: salad romaine lettuce/carrots/kale/cocumber/zucchini with can of tuna or any meat whatever I cook for my family.
After 1/2 -1 hour I go to gym every night just to walk on treadmill 3.8 incline 12 to reach 500 calories for 50 minutes and some weights and stretching. That’s my routine everyday for 10

I've always had excuses why I couldn't take off weight ever since I was 50 years old. *Getting older (I'm now 58) menopause/hot flashes, thyroid issues, and paraplegic T-4/5 complete with no core muscles.* Since doing my own research back in June 2019 and learning a lot from you Doctor E. along with some others on UA-cam I've been able to take off 45 pounds from June 22, 2019 to November. Thank you😊. I feel so much better with keeping my carbs and sugar low and being on OMAD. I've been fasting for 48 hours one to two times a month too. I'm hoping that my stomach will improve with being on OMAD. (Get rid of the extra fat and tighten up). I'm 5'10 and weigh 140 but I feel like I should weigh more because of my stomach. If you have any thoughts/information that'll help my situation I'd appreciate it.

Happy New Year Dr. Ekberg. I like that you post introductory videos for people making a New Year's Resolutions to fix their weight... instead what I hope others will find after some research (as I did) is that the "junk" food is not _just_ about weight gain. It is false to assume that it's OK to eat it in moderation... no... it screws with your hormones, addicts you, and so much more. I hope you can make a video explaining this. When I talk to people about this; it seems to be a common misconception they have. Best advice you can give: Just Eat Real Food!

I have been OMAD for a long time but realise now the reason for my stubborn fat has been Sugar, Carbs, Fruits and Snacking so I became Insulin Resistant. Fasting during Ramadan never helped due to binge we have with Sugars, Carbs & Fats increased at that time. Now I will adjust what I eat for OMAD and during Ramadan. I put on weight from bottom (legs) to top (face) but lose it top (face) to bottom (legs). Fasting 32-72 hours has already started making a difference as in my face has slimmed up again. I love eatings eggs & meat and fruits so I love the Keto diet concept & will now limit/time my fruit intake. The goal is a slim healthy me for the rest of my life. I only discovered the full concept of Keto & Autophagy 1 month ago and already had started to go on a 'diet' by cutting back on snacking, processed and carbs but ot had made no real difference until I added longer fasts. Thank you to the Keto experts for all the advice.

what you eat partly becomes part of you. eat responsibly for your own balance. its a lifestyle that i got used to 4 years ago, my initial trigger was how i wanted to go overseas for vacation, but my weight could cause bloodclotters on the plane. i had 1 year to find my inner self, found it, lost around 10% weight in that year (114kg to 103kg)
so glad my first trigger was made by my own wish with deadline (plane tickets were booked back then)
keeping it up steadily, am now (3yr after vacation) around 98 to 100kg.
inspriation with goals (no hurrying) is key for me.
    love your vids btw!
