- Let's go back to 2016 with this one. This was another of my favorites in my cover "career". I was in a Carl Palmer groove, feeling the 80's, and had my eldest daughter operating the "motion cam". This is one of many that you may ask "Why is this one of your favorites?"... The answer is I don't know. I just love the results and I hope you do too. CHEERS!
Original Drums: Carl Palmer
Great work! Love this tune and your cover.
Radical classic BBJ performance. Snare is on point!
I'm waiting for the vintage covers that feature that shiny and elegant stash 👨
Thanks Uzi! it does my heart good to hear from you.
Good stuff, thank you.
Thank you Richard. Older stuff... but at least it's something.
@@thenewbeatsbyjay4127 I can't remember ever listening to a cover of yours that the drumming wasn't excellent. Some of the music at times was not to my liking, but your drumming has always been outstanding.
Classic … Carl Palmer with tempo pickups and all! Great playing Jay!
Thank you, Earl!
Anoter great job by you! I haven't be able to watch you as much as I'd like due to medcal issues, but I have been communcating with some of my fave musicians on FB.One of them a drummer that I've followed since the mid '70's,but most haven't heard of him,Bill Lordan, who drummed for Sly Stone, and Robin Trower, who is one of my all time guitar heroes.Bill met Jimi,in '69 a few months before Jimi left us,and was invited by Jimi to be his drummer, but Bill declined his offer.Bill's story is a very interesting one,but again, not getting the recognition he deserves.I don't want to be a bother with this, just saying what's on my mind.Jason, have you played in a band,as you for sure have great skills.Keep it up,and I hope to be seeing a lot more of you.Peace my brother!
In the interest of transparency, I should be clear this is not a new video. I'm reuploading some of my favorites I've done over the years because I had to delete them all from my main channel. Anyway, you're not a bother at all. I was in a band in the early to late 90's. We tried our best but it never materialized into "the dream". After that, I never joined another band and just played as a hobby. Then came UA-cam and I just kinda latched onto that as my outlet. Eventually I'll have some new stuff up here... but for now, I'm betting there's a lot of people who may enjoy these old ones. Many have never seen them... So they're new to them. Cheers!
Very cool video and great drumming performance! Classic 80s song! You look younger in this video. Maybe it’s all the fresh mountain air you’ve been getting? Still got the duck I see. Excellent video production Jay! 🤘🍻
I recorded this back in 2016... so, yeah... I'm younger. I'm re-releasing many of my old favorites here since I had to delete them on my other channel. Until I start recording new ones again, expect the "classics" here for a little while. CHEERS!
@@thenewbeatsbyjay4127 😂 oh man, I feel dumb for that comment. Cool that you are re-releasing your classic covers. Cheers brother 🍻
@@RichRawDawgdrums Don't feel dumb. I had a lot of videos and not everyone saw them all. Thank you for stopping by... it really means a lot.
Great drumming as usual. Where are you real cymbals?
This is actually an old video. I recorded this back in 2016. New stuff is on hiatus for a little while, but I want to stay active. So I'm re-releasing some of my favorite classics from the past. New stuff will eventually come, but to be perfectly honest I am hard at work on the new format of my main channel. It consumes pretty much any and all free time I have. Many have never seen a lot of the older stuff I did, so I thought it might be fun to share them because they'll still be new for some. Cheers!
