Dear, thank you so much for the video! Ma wife washed the brush with the shower, so i needed an urgent dry out, and your video is the only one about the construction. Thank you, you ve saved my day and nerves.
Thanks so much for the info.I was able to dismantle the head on my V10 Dreame and found one of the wires broken where it exited the plastic hose end nearest the brush end.It was broken off where it exited, flush with the plastic --so I installed 2 new wires, and wrapped them around the plastic hose, wrapped the hose with electrical tape, and soldered both ends after cutting the connecting wires inside the head and at the pin connection end. Works like a "Dreame"
Thanks for the disassembly instructions. The problem with the cables still exists (despite the removed tabs) they are currently damaged at the very entrance to the rotary joint.
Thanks a lot, 80$ saved ! Those wires are stupidly stuck in the main conduct, I've replaced the 2 wires thanks to your explanations. +1 for the hidden screw.
Nicely shown - there is still a problem with those cables as they wear off after some time, but I can just solder them back and it should work just fine.
Fantastic guide that saved me a whole lot of headache! Exactly my issue - I was an October backer and my unit still had the tabs, with one of the wires snapped clean off at the base. Cut the tabs off, dremeled out the stub of the wire and resoldered everything back together. Not the best soldering job but at least it works for now.
Thanks mate without your help I probably wouldn't have gone through the end! I had the exact same problem you thought of, the cable just broke at the base of the head. Managed to fix it applying some pressure on the cable with some fixing gum and assembling everything back, dirty but it works! Thanks again!
Thank you your video is very helpful, especially for the hidden screws. On mine one of the soldered connections where the wires to the motor join onto the hose coil had failed, so I bypassed the hose coil with silicone insulated flexible conductors rated to 3 amps (motor draws around 1.6 amps), you can hardly see them and all is going well. For any that are not aware the circuit to the motor used the 2 spring coils inside the flexible hose to complete the circuit so no wires are visible. However these joints are hard soldered and break after in my case 1 year.
Man, thank you so much for your video. I could fix my brush over here with you teaching. I had some complications because my cabes were out, but fortunately, I bought another piece to replace and in the end works fine. Thank you so much !!
Thanks for the great video. I had a similar problem on my Dreame T30: brush stopped working because the white cable is broken at the plastic level. In fact it is quite easy to fix: use another cable that you connect on one side to the connector (easily accessible by removing 2 screws) and on the other side to the remaining white cable. Some soldering is required to make it solid. And keep the new cable outside the pipe. Good luck!
@@CosaNoztra Not sure about which plastic you are talking.. but if you talk about the wire that goes into the plastic: I did not remove it. I just added another wire outside the plastic, so that remains visible. It is working since 1 year now!
Thanks for the informative video. The large toothed belt pulley was cracked and spinning on the shaft on my cleaner. This caused the brush to slow down and not spin on carpet.
I opened mine; one of the cables was cut clean off where it enters the tube. My unit also it also had the little tabs snapped in factory. So that’s not the only problem. There is another tab on the right side where it leads to the circuit. My take is that - the cables should have been fixed at the tabs by a nut or glue - there should be some strain relief at the connection point with the tube Dreame is sending me a new brush. Thanks for the video. I would not have managed to open the brush otherwise.
Thank you , same kind of issue with the V9Pro (except the wire was "broken" in a "hidden place" inside the plastic flexible part). A few hours to dismount, solder, remount, but it is still satisfying when it works :-)
How do I even soldier the cable if the cable is cut all the way down to the plastic? I’d have to destroy a bit of the plastic to get hold of the cable.
Hi, my multibrush bar stopped working, and I ended up here. It looked like exactly like my problem so I went on and disassemblied the thing. Long story short, mine got the plastic clips removed, so the wired broke off at the start, where it comes off from the plastic joint. Damn.
@@rytismo9240 I replaced the wire entirely, taking a couple of turns around the flexible pipe. Works like a charm. Now the plastic joint broke and I can't use it for a different reason. Damn.
Because they snapped of the clips it now has sharp edges where the cable move along. As you can see, your cablehousings are already scratched. If they eventually open, the cables will shortcircuit and will make the brush stop spinning. Put some electrical tape on the sharp edges to prevent the cables from being damaged.
Thank you for the video. What is the production date of your vacuum? I received mine yesterday and it is from 11/2021 (also from the Indiegogo campaign)
Hi thanks for the video, my cable was actually cut from this. What size and type of cables do I need to buy to connect it as an extension. Much appreciated and looking forward to your respond or anyone who know ?
I just bought one of these, did not know about this fault, I usually research these things quite well before buying so I am a little annoyed now. Is there a chance I have got one that doesn't have this problem new models etc..? I haven't received it yet but I'm just curious did they fix this issue in later made ones..?
Just received my 3rd brush from Dreame, same problem (every brush lasted 3 months). I'm gonna repair my brushes because I'm not going to wait for 4th another month.
Hello, i had the same problem, the shop send us a New one. I would like to repair the first. I think it will break because the electric line is small. Where Can i find the piece who's break ?
Mine too, but I've found a fix for that. The wheels are held in place by 2 screws at the bottom. You need to unscrew them and use a drill (I used a drill for wood) to deepen the holes. Just 1-2 mm will do. This will allow the screws to hold the wheels in place better.
i have the new model which has black and white cables. it is still poorly engineered. the cables will now be chopped where they disappear into the hose. I really don't understand why anyone would think it is a good idea to have such thing cables anywhere near were there is movement and limited space...

For me the necessary part was the screws that fixed the wheels.

Same problem here. The white cable snap off at the base! No way to repair it. 🤦🏻♂️
I drilled a hole and rerouted the wires and connected it on the outside. I am yet to solder it but it seems to be working.
