    Hey everyone! Thank you so much for watching this video and supporting my channel. I really appreciate it and am overwhelmed by the amount of views and kind words. I just wanted to apologize for the audio as I know certain sections contain background music that is too loud. Unfortunately I can't fix it after posting and would recommend using captions as I have gone through and edited the caption to assist in those sections. Hopefully this helps a little and once again apologize and appreciate all your support as I continue to learn and grow this channel. Thanks again for all the support and as always drop me a comment if you have any questions or just want to say what's up! Float on friends!

      @@aashish.kapoor It's totally safe if you take your time and respect the board and it's boundaries. I ended up in the ED on my third day of riding because I was careless. It was a lesson I needed to learn the hard way. I have been riding safely with no accidents since! If you're going to ride fast, get elbow and knee pads in case of a bad fall. Always wear your helmet.

    Bought two Pints- one for me, and one for my Son (17). Along the way, infected next door neighbor with enthusiasm. The rounder profile of the smaller tire made it feel very wobbly for the first hour or so of experience, but both of us now have mastered "carving" sharp 90 degree turns in the house! Riding on roads pretty painless (although at first the soles of my feet would get sore- but less so now). Goal is to become competent off-road. Learning on Grass is a start- when board wants to shoot out from under you, it just spins on grass- but that surface is a little bumpier than roadway. I learned from a more experienced rider that the best way to turn is to simply "think" about the way you want to go, and the board does the rest! I may someday get an XR, but the ONLY advantages are the greater range, and the taller tire- which may be important when riding on single track mountain bike trails (but the Pint actually produces more torque, since the motor is the same, yet the tire smaller).

      Dude, you are a king. I only just found out about these things the other day, been watching videos like mad. I was thinking I'm too old. I know, shitty thinking. But we're probably not too far away from each other age-wise. And I saw a video of some lady older than both of us zooming around on one. And I did used to skateboard back in the day, so it's not like I have zero board experience. Honestly, only reason I don't run out and get one this weekend is the price. Whether it's the XR or the Pint, either would be a hit for me now. I'm gonna get one eventually though. And like someone in another thread said, a few months from now they'll probably have a new model with a better range.

      I’ve heard the same thing. I’ve read some people add a battery pack to the pint to get the range close to the XR for only another $300 as opposed to the $850 premium for the XR. I’ve also read many people add a rounded tire to the XR to get the speed and range of the XR with the more carvy riding style of the pint. I want to buy one but I’m not sure which of those options would be the way to go. Which one is the best in your opinion?

    Another thing to consider is if you have someone else in your family that might ride at some point. The boards hold their value pretty well but starting with that Ping and keeping it for others if/when you upgrade is an option too. I’m just over a year with my Pint and want to upgrade for trails, beach rides and group rides but will keep my Pint for my son and for when I also want to ride. Also plan on switching out XR tire ASAP to a more nimble option from Vega brick. Great video!

      Hey Brian! You'd be surprised how many bigger and older guys ride the Pint with ease. It takes some practice but if you ever enjoyed any board sport especially snowboarding, you'll have a genuinely amazing time riding them. My Pint is still my favorite board and I think you could still manage on it. Not sure if cost is an issue but if it is, go with the Pint. See if you even like it and want to commit more financially to the hobby, if not, sell it and you tried something new right? And if you wanna go big, then get the XR and never look back lol but let me know if you have any questions, more than happy to help narrow down your decision process. This was very useful, if I wanna update to the XR. Over 1000+ kilometers and a dead battery, the bearings changes and tire change, I can say, I do miss some torque and acceleration by the way and I do have issues with the distance, which is quite okay for the price but after time you just want more. I have no ida, how happy I will be with the XR's performance, especially on the speed point, but I can imagine that even this 3 mph makes the difference, from a slow-average-normal speed, to feel, that you're "riding". I just simply cannot sell first my Pint on many reasons. So much, I just simply love it and can think, I'll regret to sell it to buy easier the XR. But my goal will be maybe, to own both of them, just as you did, I even have an other, the next exchange-battery, in case, the new one after time, going to fail.

    • @CinematicSouls
      @CinematicSouls  3 роки тому

      Thanks so much Reiden! Appreciate that. The Pint has a more narrow tire width so it probably is the best for sharp turns and that's why it's better for carving. But truth be told, turning can be done easily on both. The difference is so minimal I don't think it would really make that much of a difference after you learned to ride either board. Main difference is really the speed and distance. You can always always swap out the XR tire for a more narrow tire like the Pint. Hopefully this helps but let me know if you have other questions!

    Great video bro! I’m an avid and skilled snowboarder. Probably going XR. Thoughts?

      Hey thanks so much! Hmm... if you're an avid snowboarder then I'm going to assume you like the speed and will be ready to tear some roads and trails up. XR is a solid bet for sure then. Just make sure you're comfortable with the budget and have the time and places nearby to ride. If any of those are in question, go Pint for a year and I bet FM will have a new board out by then for you to upgrade to. Let me know if you have any other questions and appreciate you coming by the channel!

    Hey do you know area's where we are not allowed to go into riding a one wheel?

    I have both the FutureMotion Pint and the Inmotion V8F (200 mi on each) and love the pint for fun and exercise, I'm not in to speed. The V8F is better as transportation, and you don't have to carry it around, the luggage handle is very convenient. Both are similar cost but V8F is 3 or 4 times the range.

      That's awesome you own both! When I tried a EUC at a group ride a couple months ago, I didn't realize how was it was to learn lolol granted I only had like 15 mins of practice. I wish i had more time on it cause it definitely felt pretty fun and would be cool to see how it compares to a OneWheel! Maybe down the line for me. Thanks for coming by! :)

      @@CinematicSouls The EUC wash much harder for me to learn, than the pint, for two reasons; I had no smooth surface with fence or wall available to hold onto while practicing, and picking that 2nd foot up off the ground was a real leap of faith for me. I finally bought some cheap ski poles and used them to steady myself at first. That did the trick for me.

    I know this was a year ago but old is not outdated so I got the pint for the reasons that he said you might need it for and I love it but I am upgrading to the GT.
