It is nice to see a couple stop along the way and enjoy the Dempster. We used to spend up to three weeks on the Dempster each summer, and we had friends who lived along the highway. They have sold their property to one of the outfitters and have long since moved on.
I think I enjoyed the Dempster more on the way back because we kept stopping to enjoy, rather than forging ahead to get to our destination. I like your idea of spending that much time on it, though.
