I'm almost in tears. I love this club more than life itself. We all have been through the heartache together, and we win win flag number 2 we're all going to celebrate together. Carn the mighty sainters!
I'm a Sainter because of my Dad. I love the club and what we stand for. I started following them in 2004 as a 10 year old and drove to Melbourne on the day of the 2010 Grand Final. Will never choose another club. Proudly wear, drink from and wear the red, white and black every day. ❤
We are Sainters because the Saints lost GF in 2010. We migrated in Australia in Sept 2010 and that Grand Finals + rematch were the first AFL games we watched on TV. The Saints passion and resilience just captured our hearts and from then on, we proudly bleed ❤️🤍🖤
I’m a sainter because I love a club that nobody backs in any circumstance, And I love how the fans support the club through the Financial troubles in the 80’s, the 90’s with Lockett, Lowe, and Harvey, The 00’s, with Gehrig, Milne and Hayes, the 2010’s, with Riewoldt, Steven and Montagna, and today’s stars such as Max King, Callum Wilkie, and Roman Marshall. The club is the greatest at brushing off the criticism from the other 17 clubs, and continuing to exist after joffa Cunningham. OH HOW I LOVE TO BE WITH STKILDA!
Amazing segment! I am a sainter because, my dad went for the Club and used to take me down to Moorabbin. I would either be up on my dad’s shoulders in the standing room section or rolling down the muddy hill. Seeing Lockett and Loewe got me hooked, I slept with my 1992 ticket to the saints vs Footscray semi final under my pillow , I was that excited.
I'm a Sainter coz of my Dad but not the usual way. I actually barracked for Hawthorn following my older brother and cousin and St Kilda was my 2nd team but always going to Saints games with Dad and his mates in the late 80's, the joy they'd have win or lose was infectious and something about the underdog and that people were so loyal to a Club with such little success grabbed me and from around 10yo I've been red, white and black for life. And now my daughters are coming with me and my dad tomorrow night! Fortius Quo Fidelius 150 years Strong
I’m a sainter because of my dad, my dad was a mad st Kilda supporter and he stopped my mum when she said I was going for the demons, I’m forever grateful being a sainter, GO SAINTS
I'm a sainter because of Robert Harvey. Saw his highlights on the news one day and thought that sport looked interesting, and also that guy can fucking play it. Feels like everything is as it should be with him sitting in the box tomorrow night.
There was no AFL in the 80's, the old man was a Sainter since 1966 and you always want to follow your dad's side. The Winmar family are close friends and Nicky #7 was my childhood idol. Red, White and Black forever.
I'm a Sainter because of the kids at school. Coming from an Asian family I didn't know a thing about the footy before I started primary school. Lots of the friends I made were Saints fans so to fit in I followed suit and haven't looked back. Some of my friends have wavered but I stayed loyal because now that I'm older I know and understand a lot more about what it means to be a Sainter. Like the Saints I've grown up being an underdog and underestimated but through that I've learnt resilience and loyalty so looking back I don't think I could've chosen a more perfect club to bleed with. From the highs of the 3 grand finals, or the lows of the 2 wooden spoons in my time I never wavered. From Loewe, Burke and Harvey, to Riewoldt, Hayes and Milne, to Steven, to Steele, to King and now the new kids I have loved every Sainter who has pulled on our jumper. Congratulations St Kilda on 150 years, here's to 150 more. Our day will come and our Strength Through Loyalty will make it oh so sweet. Carn the Mighty Sainters!!!
I’m a sainter because my mum grew up near Moorabbin. I went to games with her often as a child and loved the club, the players and the fans. I wanted to be Nathan Burke when I was a player and wore a helmet because of him. I love the club and can’t wait to start taking my son to the games. Also, MATTHEW HARDY! How good!!
I,m a Sainter because... I will never forget seeing this lone Saints fan surrounded by Eagle fans on the day they won. He was copping along of sh...t but stood his ground. I must admit I was still a Dockers fan at the time. I decided to change to St Kilda in 2018 😊
As a perth boy, born in 1980, it was a no-brainer to go for the cheezels when they joined the VFL in 87. That was really because, being a staunch Subiaco supporter, that first W.C team had a strong Subi flavour. With that flavour disappearing by 92/93, Plugger was the only guy I wanted to watch. Not just for his simple brilliance, but the carnage he would also create. So, I bought my first Saints guernsey and wore it proudly with my iron-on #4. BUT, then he left... and it soon became a lot more about the colours and loyalty. So, I stuck to that. In 97 they recruited 'my guy' Jason Heatley, and that was probably the moment I became 100% St.kilda.
Fantastic work SaintsTV team. I'm a sainter because I grew up in the bayside area and loved Plugger, Harvs and Stewart Lowe.. Going to the games at Waverley Park with the fam were good memories.. Much heartbreak over the journey, having attended all the GFs across 2009 and 2010 but love being a Saints fan... Here's to the next 150...
I m A Sainter Since 1968 Born Into A St Kilda Family Grand Parents St Kilda Fans Lived In St Kilda NO WHERE else.... Parents Lived In Balaclava & St Kilda When I Was Born I Bleed RED WHITE & BLACK Until I Die My Daughter Partner And My Grandsons All St Kilda Fans ....... Lived In Brisbane since 1979 Never stopped Loving St Kilda Its in The Blood GO SAINTS Premiership soon
This was awesome! I am sainter because my mum and dad sat me down for an intervention. I use to go to mums work at Vic uni and she would let me go watch the doggies train. One day I got a toy of a western bull dogs with their colours on it from the players at the age of 3. I took the toy home and showed my Dad. He was not impressed. He sat me down and said son your whole maternal and paternal side of the family go for the saints you have to go. He took me to my first game and I remember G-train kicked this ripper goal. I yelled out at the age of 3, “GO G-STRING” even though it wasn’t his nickname. I think we lost that game but I remember a bloke in the crowd thought it was so funny calling G-Train, G-String and gave me a Saint Kilda flag on a pole. I use to wave it at every game I went. Turned me into a sainter after that. I have that flag to my sister who has given it to my youngest sister (family of 5) and we still wave it at games. Sainter for bloody life. My grandma was at the 1966 final. She’s been a long supporter and if she can be this patient then so can I. Go saints! Will be there at the 150th!
Im a Sainter because when we moved to Australia in 1989 we needed to choose a team. My partner was working in Hawthorn and we were definitely not going to support them. Being originally from NZ and Scotland we choose the Saints becuase the red white and black were Maori colours and the team had close to the most Aboriginal players - my thinking was that if a club had that many players then the supporters might not be as racist as other clubs who didn’t sign First Nations player - ironic in this weeks context! Go Saints - Gilbert, Nicky, The Clarkes, Ben, Bradley, Nasiah, Marcus, Gresh, Paddy, Jarrod, and too many more to mention that have bough joy or are currently doing so - thankyou xxx
I barrack for StKilda because all my schoolmates in the 60's told me I should. Even though I've felt heartache re 1971 ,1997 , 2009 and 2010. You never know - there's a different feel watching the boys this year ...
I stand with you all!! May not have married Nicky Winmar or Lenny, but feel like the club got me and my emotional investment for better or for worse, til death do us part (nah, going to kick around RSEA in spirit!).
If you enjoy this video then we’d absolutely love if you could hit subscribe. Up the Sainters!

I've been a sainter fan since getting a black eye on my first day at school in St Kilda after moving down from Brisbane.
