As an old cowgirl, here, that's an old trick....to put a kid on a horse ..raises a bid, every time ...😅 the animal always seems perfect, acts so tame, in a sale ring....😂
Great sale! That auctioneer really tries hard to get the best price for those mules! Amazing how that one mule let that man crawl under and between his legs and stood there calmly. He had a great trainer! Thanks for the show! See you tomorrow!
Good morning! I always have a hard time sleeping. As I mentioned before I suffer from chronic illness. One of the symptoms is sharp head pain and when it hits it won't let me rest. I hope you get some reprieve. Seeing all those children involved with the mule sale was awesome to see. A family event like that would be some fun. My daughters would absolutely love it. Have a great day and I'll watch your other vid later on. Happy Sunday
Sorry to hear that. Yeah I don't know what the deal was the other night every time I'd almost get to sleep something wake me up or I couldn't get to sleep. Makes it hard!
I always thought that when we would ride lucky,Blackie bear, and full brother up to pack all our bloody meat from the trail less mountains that it was priceless!very nice mules!thanks and have fun day!
Was elk hunting near Salmon several years ago with my son. Met the rancher who was running cows in the National Forest. He offered to bring his mules and pack out the elk should we get one . His name was Don Olsen. Great man, well known around Salmon!
Great video lot of work and a lot more coming but I have never seen mule sale but I have seen a few from you and your videos thanks Gary for your great videos keep them coming 👍👍🇺🇲
Good morning Gary. There were sure some well trained Mules. $32000 is a lot of money. My luck too, it would be dead the next day. Really nice oilskin jacket! Have a good day my Friend.
They take them mules real serious don't they. But out there I guess a good mule is like a good car. Hope you did good selling your leather goods. Have a Blessed Day Friend! Justin
Sure is a big sale. I was surprised how much mules bring in the sales ring. Not cheap critters. Your right, if you or I owned it they would be dead in no time flat. Nice jacket you got as a gift. Thanks for sharing the sale. See ya.🇺🇲🔪🌲🔥
I gotta say I was Happy, Happy,Happy to meet Cindy and You! Between the phone, folks stoppin at the table, and movin gates and making events happen, You ARE the sale! And now you're looking at a summer full of all the normal chores and events, but also demolition, and construction on new buildings. And then a Dude (I admit I'm a Dude) comes with a project..... Don't know how you do it, Bud! When do you find time to fish? Well, good luck with day 2! That wind and rain last night didn't help much, I'm sure. See you later on before we skedaddle!
It was great Derrel ! Hopefully it will happen again before too long! This job is really busy through the Summer months. Winter is my play time! I'd sure like to go fishing though!
Well after yesterday and the long night you had i bet you are wore out!! That first little girl on that mule was adorable and she handled that mule very well! Wow I never knew how much a mule would sell for until i seen it here last time! Ohh nice jacket!! Thanks for sharing!!
Ooooohhh. I like the buckskin meewww. Fancy Fancy. There's some fella and gal on this platform that ride a dun mewww around, and it's probably the most fancy one I've ever seen. Bold tiger stripes all the way to its elbow front and rear, donkey cross on his back. Black mane and tail. Not sure how much they gave for em, but I reckon it was enough to buy a nice starter home in Jackson Hole? Lol.
Good Morning !!! 32 k !!! Wow! Some pretty mixed colors mules in there. Headed to dump. Thought I'd say before I take off. Oh , seems like some of the bidding was lower on some of them than last year
Gary for that price in mule $$$$$ I’m sticky running my J-5 tracks equipments for moose and bear 🐻 hunting in Newfoundland. Put 3 whole moose a machine, hook 🪝 up trailer can take a lot of moose in a one trip . 😊
Nice video Gary! Who is Sarah Morelli? The mule wrangler? I actually could probably ride one of those mules. Horses try to kill me if I climb up on their back. If someone sold me a $32,000 dollar mule it probably wouldn't be dead in the morning but it might be injured or sick and needing some expensive vet care that I couldn't afford because I just spent all of my money on a $32,000 dollar mule!!!

Why would someone want a mule over a horse and be willing to pay so much for it.
Yeah it's a lot of money! Mules are really great in the mountains. They're much more sure-footed than a horse. They tend to not get themselves hurt they're careful about what they do. If you're packing a horse a lot of times they'll run the pack boxes into the tree for a mule very rarely does. But it's all personal preference horses are actually I think better writing in my opinion. A good meal in the mountains is hard to beat though. Yes they are almost always sterile. I'm very rare occasion some have been known to breed but generally they can't.
Thanks for the info! Ok so my next questions would be, why pay $32k for that mule, will it do that much better of a job than say a $5k mule or a $500 mule, obviously only the buyer could probably answer that. Probably the same reason people buy a $50k pickup vs a $1500 pickup. I am probably showing my ignorance in this space or maybe its because I am a guy that still maintains and drives his 1997 Camry daily. Maybe its from watching westerns as a kid, always thought of the main character riding a handsome mount and the sidekick or broke guy on a mule.
