This should feed between 5 to 7 people it makes a lot especially if you are going to have sides, but if you want to make more then just double the recipe, I do have a video on Chinese rice i will post the link on here. Hello, this looks excellent, I have two questions. I want to make this for an Iftar Dinner with my family -- will this be enough for 10 people if it is not the only dish? Also, my family doesn't like to eat spicy food in Ramadhan, if I omit the Sambal, will it compromise the flavors?

Hello -- I just wanted to let you know that the rice turned out excellent! My family really liked the different sauces and being able to adjust to their own taste (some liked it spicier, and other preferred it sweeter). My husband, who usually prefers American foods, actually asked me to make this for him twice since our Iftaar party! I also used your Chicken Nihari video to make Beef Nihari, which was very helpful, and the Nihari turned out great as well! Thanks for your videos and tips!

Thanks for your question, to tell you the truth once the garlic is fried in oil it really becomes sweet and when I made it this was one thing I was worried about with my kids especially my 9 year old, but she could not tell, but if you still want to leave it out I would say just fry some spring onions and garnish it with that, that would be what I would do, I hope you and your family enjoy it, it's a great dish, pls let me know how it turned out, happy cooking and good luck!
Hi I just finished making the dish the only substitute I made which became a mistake was I used thin noodles as I could not find rice noodles and that made my mixture texture feel overcooked n mushy otherwise the taste is excellent
