After the curry arc in season 1 the anime diverts from the manga. Meaning that half of season 1 and the whole season 2 had their own anime only plot while season 3 follows the manga plot (so basically season 3 actually happened right after the curry arc I think) . And the upcoming movie Book of the atlantic will follow the manga plot as well. You should read the manga (Alois and all the other characters in season 2 arent in the manga though and probably never will be). In my opinion the manga is alot better than the anime (dont get me wrong I love the anime as well) SORRY IM REALLY BAD AT EXPLAINING
