I have 5k hours in warframe LR4, hundreds of hours in destiny 2 and all Borderlands games. In this game I'm now at 200 hours and MR 17, almost 18. Only playing TFD free. Issues are there, like optimization since it runs badly. Needs a lot of QoL for dropping very bad reactor buffs like a toxic reactor with fire and chill buffs, which should not even exist. You need to sort inventory all the time like in borderlands, but the random buffs made sense and you didn't need to dismantle all the time. I want to play the game not sort out and compare reactors every 10 min for 5min. Only a few rare parts apear in lost and found, no ultimate parts or external components, this is a huge bug and nobody ever mentions this.
yeah, only quest rewards end up in the lost and found. drops on the ground just disappear. I noticed this like 2 weeks ago. I generally don't care about the lost and found feature now. its full, 100/100 and has been for like a week. I don't even bother emptying it now...
We should get a weekly/monthly mission that lets us instant-complete one research, including descendants for free. Also better loot filters please. And my group gets a disconnect during a run almost everyday it'd be nice if there was an auto-connect and that team member doesn't get completely screwed out for a run. Also constantly grinding isn't for everyone so I'm fine with people trading and actually getting to touch grass, although Nexon may disagree.
I must agree with you regarding the trading, at least for now. The way i see it is there isn't enough content in this game for it to be a good thing. I think you mentioned something about if people could trade some people would just quit, and as of right now i think you are totally right. I like trading and if they implement it in a similar way as the other game we don't mention by name, when it has way more content i think it could work really well. Glad you are enjoying the game btw, i couldn't really get into it myself so been playing the other game instead with your stream in the background 😅
I got 216 hours so far and I would definitely give it a 8. There are a lot of things they can improve on, but I love how the devs have been listening to the players.
They really do listen! I feel like they only got a handful of complaints about the way the evolving bunny skin worked, and yet I saw one of the discord mods say they were going to relay it to the team, and not even a week later it was changed.
I love this game trully addictive one improvement I will say is the shop at the base because everyone will notice you can only buy week weopens but I think this could be a much better shop with a selection of weopens depending on which part of the map they have reached by compeating the game for example all weopens at the shop will be level 100 why have the option for diffrent ammo rounds in the shop when their is none to choose from 👍
It's very impressive the hours you've played. Since I've seen your video combining 4 mods together and making a red I've been trying to make the same you did. Bionic fuel. The other alternative is trying to beat the frost walker. You have great content, which is very informative.
There is another video explaining the mechanic behind combining mods, it's posted in their Korean site, but not translated to English. From my experience you can combine 3 red and 1 yellow to get reds, worked for me every time. But never 3 yellow and 1 purple to get yellow. But sometimes 4 yellow can give red, so far not for me. Sometimes 4 purple can give yellow, which worked a few times.
Wow you have the same hours like the movie that only has days except the hours and that's badass also love your videos quite entertaining after getting of from the first descendant also the game is quite amazing when you get the hang of it on the right type of levels being able to grind for I would be even go give this game a 5 star rating for just pure enjoyment, amazing adventure throughout the new places, core mechanics are great for a game like this but still would say that make paint available as a full palette or just a paint that has multiple colour combinations when you apply to your skin but they should add a character default skin customization for it hope they work through that in the new future updates

I’ve played warframe and in warframe you have to buy a character slot for 20 platinum (warframes premium currently) And the cheapest plat i can buy with real money is 3.99 for 75 plats thats at max 2 slots and thats not counting in the weapon slots and companion slots you have to buy or might need to buy. in first decendant the cheapest caliber pack the 250 which for me costs me 3.98 and with each slot costing 50 caliber thats 5 slots I dont know about you but thats great value and its amazing that its cheap for a character slot and before anyone that plays warframe comes yapping to me about trade chat shut the hell up im not talking about people like you or and me that has spent over 1000 hours in warframe im talking about the fresh new player that know nothing about warframe or how the trade market works in warframe
My problem isn’t really the monetization. My problem is everything else. Nearly all of the content in this game is a boring repetitive grind. Like all of the content is stand here, kills 20 enemies, boss, 3 orbs. Done. Maybe I could give it a pass after that but then the story sucks too. Colossus fights are kinda neat tho. Overall 5/10 for me, too much bad for it to be saved from just ok gunplay. Maybe later down the line when they start implementing more systems from warframe it’ll be better.
I'm not trying to change anyones mind and if you dont feel like spending thats totally valid, you can also delete descendants to make room for new ones. I just think its rather funky to complain about it when the game is free, thats all
I haven’t beaten the game yet but i have been having a good time so far. I feel like it’s a solid 7 or 8. The only thing i don’t like are the boss walls and you have to hope you don’t get stuck on specific ones for a whole three days (happened to me with devour😂). Other than that good game👌
The only egregious "bugs" I've found are ones in regard to lip-syncing and voicelines being abruptly cut-off, but that's more in line with polish than a game-breaking oversight. Also, I agree in regards to descendant slots. By the time I've filled up all available slots that were give to us for free, I've already sunk 150+ hours into the game for absolutely no cost other than my own time. I've paid a lot more for a AAA games that I've played for less hours and enjoyed less. I'm aware that at the end of the day, I'm probably handing my money to some grubby Nexon higher ups wheneverI buy Caliber, but some of that money will still go towards the developers who are intently listening to our woes and are seemingly trying their best to improve the game week by week. Absolutely nobody has any right to complain about descendant slots.

Everytime I see a player is farming all the descendants, I start giggling, because they'll eventually find out about the Descendant slots and the bitching starts. I have 5 Descendants, and I'll not grind for more until they release a Descendant that I like, or they implement the trading system. Atm you only need Bunny and Enzo, the rest are mastery fodder. If I had the option to delete any Descendant to get back my slots, I would've deleted Freyna and Lepic.
@@JeffHikari No, not at all, sharen is not RNG proof, she gets molested by the RNG as well. Enzo makes opening vaults a guaranteed activity, but Sharen is not.
I personally don't have a problem with in game monetization, but I'm not really sure if it was that necessary to spent several minutes to debunk the "not willing to spend one dollar" argument trying to defend the game, i mean, that argument itself was already absurd enough, i'm pretty sure there is plenty of more constrictive criticism of game monetization out there
166h, 5th ultimate descendant in the oven, I really disagree with the complaint everyone has with the crafting system, when the queue is full for the day thats your signal to log off and touch some grass. If you are a whale you are free to skip it with some extra cash, but those people already skip the whole game by buying descendants and catalyst directly from shop, its just another avenue for whales to finance the game. IMO its ok for the devs to put a softcap on progress this way, in the end they need time to cook more content anyways, why rush the grind in a looter shooter thats all about grinding.
My comment of $1/hr to break even & 0.10/hr being a bargain still stands. And 0.50/hr is completely fair. MMOs for over 20 years have had a 13/mo sub price and any new content has to be purchased. Too many people are used to established IPs being as much or more greedy in a lot of areas but cheap in others... for some games more players=cheaper prices. The rare gem exceptions aren't the rule and unfortunately will never be, for those looking for content additions like HG does with NMS. Or whatever BS "feature/function" you're sticking on. I'm old enough with a good enough memory to not forget about how F'd most of these prime example games were. Yeah amorphous is just loot boxes but you aren't forced buy 200x pattern6669 for $100 for a 0.1% chance. You just get what you want.
yeah, that's what I said about the monetisation. the game is free. they need to make money somehow. sure, some of it is priced in the extreme. I can understand people being mad at how much some of it costs. but it does need to be there. they have to fund the development somehow... my problem is the backlog of parts I have. I have like 25 ultimate Ajax spirals or whatever. I can't use them. they will forever be useless to me. the game needs a way to recycle these components...
I think If they had an item that makes the Time go 2x or 4x faster and add them to the battle pass ofc have 1 or 2 available for the free to play and like 5 of them for those who pay for BP maybe that's a better system I don't I got the idea from clash of clans lol
Theres only 1 real thing that pisses me off about the game. It's that when your farming and the enemies spawn they run to other players not involved or on a different mission.
Credit where its due, tfd monetization isn't that bad at all, just that it have some upfront scummy practices such as the caliber amounts aways being short of popular stuffs price or crazy high prices. Everything except for cosmetics are accessible free. Not having a paid gacha also puts it leagues above most kr mmos
I agree with your sentiments. Overall fun grind game, relatively stable, dev team definitely on the ball compared to many other live service games. Definitely has its flaws, but I'm enjoying my time spent playing for the most part. Other than all the hours staring at orange walls for infiltrations - that shit is lame AF. The time reduction on outpost reset was a nice QoL change but that content is pretty lame either way.
I think trading would be good as I dont have enought time to be grinding on this game I work 12 hours at day 6 days at week, so trading or buying items from other player who spend lot time grinding I think it would nice.
Anyone bitching about the cost should be grateful that the game is free to play to start with, for what it offers to those of us who will likely never invest real money into it. It's a lot of fun, and I have seen only one glitch in 50+ hours of playing. That glitch seems more to do with my hardware than the game itself.
An extra character slot is a dollar? Damn. I thought it would have been like $15 or something. Haven’t even looked into buying a slot because I only have 4 unlocked rn. Wasn’t gonna look till I started grinding on getting others past 10. But damn. A dollar? That’s cheap af
6:45 disagreed, from a content creator view yes maybe but this system didn’t have so much issue, I can just start a crafting before going to sleep or work, compared to warframe (accept it or not) with this 3 days, I can managed my life to do something else for 8hours.

It is $5 USD for 250 caliber, which just happens to be enough to buy 5 slots. I think that is pretty fair. Though there are other things, like FOMO, to complain about. The character slot amount is not one of them. 100% agreed.
ive done about 400 hours ive gotten every character farmed and every weapon farmed also have 4x of mat needed to make every wep 4x extra so i can say i played quite a bit. 1. honestly i dont qualify optimization as a score this should be a base thing its not something u should score but thats just me, as a side note the delays/lag/buggyness ect havent actually been fixed much since the people who suffer the most is those who arent the host generally speaking and only specific locations that are just terrible. 2. game had a ton of bugs since launch not just a little the good thing is these were all minor problems not game breaking and most have been fixed so that was a saving point for them. but again thats expected its not something i would score on. 3. trading would be a good and a bad the reason as a point youve made theres no content to really have tons to trade with other players now i personally have 31 activator blueprints and id love to share some with friends ect that would be a thing id like. some people might just make multiple dummy Accounts thou and have them get carried by their main in dungeons and have them all open the amorphous and pool all the loot to the main char but thats a seperate thing. as for trading multiple of the same items for another thats complex since a lot of them have different % and if u can just exchange them it would make farming other parts in diff areas redundant at that point. they should just make chars have an enhance like weapons of something and there u go more boring grind but it would work lol. but yes trading wouldnt work right now for sure. 4. as for research the only thing they would need to do is make it so you can make as many items as you want instead of being limited to 5 slots or only 1 per item but you can technically make everything within a month theres very little content here as is. since there isnt much to do you notice how slow research is and it gets annoying lol. 5. for me as for monetization its complex you have a side where players hate the fact you can buy materials or descendants so it feels like they didnt earn it kind of bs but who cares really, the bigger problem is the games content might cater towards payers instead of players thats a worry lots of people have which is understandable. even RNG for example which is a pain but ive been through it ALL trust me while annoying it is fair the problem is you only see the complainers but not the lucky players cause only 1 side complains after all. ive gotten 4x activator in a row and similarly ult viessa part 4x in a row as well so theres that as RNG. im of opinion that cash shops are bad unless its cosmetic only but generally id preffer a subscription based game instead since you dont have to deal with the cash shop of buying things you need to grind for. this is a GRINDING game so if you pay for shit ur just paying to skip the game so why u playing right, i get if u want to buy 1 char cause u want to main them thats all good imo but anymore than that ur not doing urself any favors. and if i WAS going to complain about the caliber thing how about 25 caliber per inventory slots thats terrible 🤣 AN issue right now is theres very little to do but grind so the content or lack thereof is hidden behind boring grinds and MY biggest ISSUE is the game is way too easy they need an extreme and a nightmare mode for some players that want a challenge every1 likes a challenge here and there. most of my friends stopped playing cause the grind is boring added with the game being too easy so its not engaging or rewarding in an impactful way which i agree on.

sorry but the mod capacity is just not enough even if you invest with the donuts and the energy thing. practically you have to polarize the whole thing to fit mods, which means you have cero flexibility and their future solution is the loadout slot be reset so you can start the process again, maybe warframe spoiled me since i dont have to forma every mod slot to have complete build this annoys me is severely limits the build diversity in the future also why transendent mods need to be different polarities just make at least the same so the investment in the donut doesnt go to waste.
Warframe does it, but the crucial, CRUCIAL difference, is warframe allows you to actually earn the Premium Currency, the currency you use to speed things up, and buy stuff from the shop. You can earn Plat in Warframe, you CAN'T earn Caliber in TFD. They are not even remotely equal. Nevermind the fact that prices in Warframe, are LOWER than in TFD as well, as well as simply easier to farm for. EDIT: And yes, you can earn hundreds of Plat in warframe, in a single week. Depending on what you grind for, you're easily making 100 plat for a full Prime Warframe set, or like, 4 Warframe Augment mods.
i disagree with the slots take, firstly because i see no point in putting money into a free game if I'll still have to deal with the hurdles of a free game (grind, repetitiveness, progress walls, timers, etc). it isn't only a dollar as you can only buy premium money in packs that cost more than that and as they lauch more character you'll have to buy more slots having to spend more, which would be ok if it wasn't for my first point. lastly we all know how free games work, the crushing majority of the revenue comes from less than 1% of the playerbase (aka the whales) and the real value that the majority of the playerbase has its the player count, which to me makes charging for slots kind of too much much of a hassle for the average player.

Bugs are not that existent. Huh. Have you tried to restock your ammo recently at a outpost. This game has plenty of problems like inventory. Drop rates. Descendants that rob others from any game play like bunny in dungeons.

I agree for the most part,but £80 for a single character is outrageous. I played for 150 and didn't spend a penny. If the prices for everything weren't ridiculous I'd have bought something. No regrets playing, no regrets not paying for anything.

It's not perfect. But it has a solid foundation. I clocked over 160 hours.

I personally don't have a problem with in game monetization, but I'm not really sure if it was that necessary to spent several minutes to debunk the "not willing to spend one dollar" argument trying to defend the game, i mean, that argument itself was already absurd enough, i'm pretty sure there is plenty of more constrictive criticism of game monetization out there
166h, 5th ultimate descendant in the oven, I really disagree with the complaint everyone has with the crafting system, when the queue is full for the day thats your signal to log off and touch some grass. If you are a whale you are free to skip it with some extra cash, but those people already skip the whole game by buying descendants and catalyst directly from shop, its just another avenue for whales to finance the game. IMO its ok for the devs to put a softcap on progress this way, in the end they need time to cook more content anyways, why rush the grind in a looter shooter thats all about grinding.

MMOs for over 20 years have had a 13/mo sub price and any new content has to be purchased. Too many people are used to established IPs being as much or more greedy in a lot of areas but cheap in others... for some games more players=cheaper prices.
The rare gem exceptions aren't the rule and unfortunately will never be, for those looking for content additions like HG does with NMS. Or whatever BS "feature/function" you're sticking on. I'm old enough with a good enough memory to not forget about how F'd most of these prime example games were. Yeah amorphous is just loot boxes but you aren't forced buy 200x pattern6669 for $100 for a 0.1% chance. You just get what you want.

yeah, that's what I said about the monetisation. the game is free. they need to make money somehow. sure, some of it is priced in the extreme. I can understand people being mad at how much some of it costs. but it does need to be there. they have to fund the development somehow...

Theres only 1 real thing that pisses me off about the game.

Credit where its due, tfd monetization isn't that bad at all, just that it have some upfront scummy practices such as the caliber amounts aways being short of popular stuffs price or crazy high prices. Everything except for cosmetics are accessible free. Not having a paid gacha also puts it leagues above most kr mmos
I agree with your sentiments. Overall fun grind game, relatively stable, dev team definitely on the ball compared to many other live service games. Definitely has its flaws, but I'm enjoying my time spent playing for the most part. Other than all the hours staring at orange walls for infiltrations - that shit is lame AF. The time reduction on outpost reset was a nice QoL change but that content is pretty lame either way.
I think trading would be good as I dont have enought time to be grinding on this game I work 12 hours at day 6 days at week, so trading or buying items from other player who spend lot time grinding I think it would nice.
Anyone bitching about the cost should be grateful that the game is free to play to start with, for what it offers to those of us who will likely never invest real money into it. It's a lot of fun, and I have seen only one glitch in 50+ hours of playing. That glitch seems more to do with my hardware than the game itself.

@@EllyUA-cam Including Luna, we will have 15 unique characters (replace the normal character with an ultimate). The game gives 10 character slots for free. It is $5 USD for 250 caliber, which just happens to be enough to buy 5 slots. I think that is pretty fair.
Though there are other things, like FOMO, to complain about. The character slot amount is not one of them. 100% agreed.
ive done about 400 hours ive gotten every character farmed and every weapon farmed also have 4x of mat needed to make every wep 4x extra so i can say i played quite a bit.
1. honestly i dont qualify optimization as a score this should be a base thing its not something u should score but thats just me, as a side note the delays/lag/buggyness ect havent actually been fixed much since the people who suffer the most is those who arent the host generally speaking and only specific locations that are just terrible.
2. game had a ton of bugs since launch not just a little the good thing is these were all minor problems not game breaking and most have been fixed so that was a saving point for them. but again thats expected its not something i would score on.
3. trading would be a good and a bad the reason as a point youve made theres no content to really have tons to trade with other players now i personally have 31 activator blueprints and id love to share some with friends ect that would be a thing id like. some people might just make multiple dummy Accounts thou and have them get carried by their main in dungeons and have them all open the amorphous and pool all the loot to the main char but thats a seperate thing.
as for trading multiple of the same items for another thats complex since a lot of them have different % and if u can just exchange them it would make farming other parts in diff areas redundant at that point. they should just make chars have an enhance like weapons of something and there u go more boring grind but it would work lol.
but yes trading wouldnt work right now for sure.
4. as for research the only thing they would need to do is make it so you can make as many items as you want instead of being limited to 5 slots or only 1 per item but you can technically make everything within a month theres very little content here as is.
since there isnt much to do you notice how slow research is and it gets annoying lol.
5. for me as for monetization its complex you have a side where players hate the fact you can buy materials or descendants so it feels like they didnt earn it kind of bs but who cares really, the bigger problem is the games content might cater towards payers instead of players thats a worry lots of people have which is understandable.
even RNG for example which is a pain but ive been through it ALL trust me while annoying it is fair the problem is you only see the complainers but not the lucky players cause only 1 side complains after all. ive gotten 4x activator in a row and similarly ult viessa part 4x in a row as well so theres that as RNG.
im of opinion that cash shops are bad unless its cosmetic only but generally id preffer a subscription based game instead since you dont have to deal with the cash shop of buying things you need to grind for.
this is a GRINDING game so if you pay for shit ur just paying to skip the game so why u playing right, i get if u want to buy 1 char cause u want to main them thats all good imo but anymore than that ur not doing urself any favors.

AN issue right now is theres very little to do but grind so the content or lack thereof is hidden behind boring grinds and MY biggest ISSUE is the game is way too easy they need an extreme and a nightmare mode for some players that want a challenge every1 likes a challenge here and there. most of my friends stopped playing cause the grind is boring added with the game being too easy so its not engaging or rewarding in an impactful way which i agree on.

sorry but the mod capacity is just not enough even if you invest with the donuts and the energy thing. practically you have to polarize the whole thing to fit mods, which means you have cero flexibility and their future solution is the loadout slot be reset so you can start the process again, maybe warframe spoiled me since i dont have to forma every mod slot to have complete build this annoys me is severely limits the build diversity in the future also why transendent mods need to be different polarities just make at least the same so the investment in the donut doesnt go to waste.
Warframe does it, but the crucial, CRUCIAL difference, is warframe allows you to actually earn the Premium Currency, the currency you use to speed things up, and buy stuff from the shop.
You can earn Plat in Warframe, you CAN'T earn Caliber in TFD. They are not even remotely equal.
Nevermind the fact that prices in Warframe, are LOWER than in TFD as well, as well as simply easier to farm for.
EDIT: And yes, you can earn hundreds of Plat in warframe, in a single week. Depending on what you grind for, you're easily making 100 plat for a full Prime Warframe set, or like, 4 Warframe Augment mods.

i disagree with the slots take, firstly because i see no point in putting money into a free game if I'll still have to deal with the hurdles of a free game (grind, repetitiveness, progress walls, timers, etc).
it isn't only a dollar as you can only buy premium money in packs that cost more than that and as they lauch more character you'll have to buy more slots having to spend more, which would be ok if it wasn't for my first point.
lastly we all know how free games work, the crushing majority of the revenue comes from less than 1% of the playerbase (aka the whales) and the real value that the majority of the playerbase has its the player count, which to me makes charging for slots kind of too much much of a hassle for the average player.

Bugs are not that existent. Huh. Have you tried to restock your ammo recently at a outpost. This game has plenty of problems like inventory. Drop rates. Descendants that rob others from any game play like bunny in dungeons.

I agree for the most part,but £80 for a single character is outrageous. I played for 150 and didn't spend a penny. If the prices for everything weren't ridiculous I'd have bought something. No regrets playing, no regrets not paying for anything.

As someone who doesn't play the game and thus has no horse in this race, the game looks good, I don't think the mixed reviews on steam are reasonable and I think anyone who gives this anything under a 6ish might be biased
