I agree with you Pete👍 across the pond our goodwill shops (charity shops) prices are now ridiculous! They seem to just put all the good stuff online now.
The Goodwills around here have been garbage for many years. Anything decent that doesn't get put online gets snapped up by resellers immediately. The only purpose it serves now is as a place to dump your unwanted items.
That’s why I don’t donate to goodwill anymore. They get it free then charge such high prices and the CEO makes a 6 figure income. Then again the people that work there make peanuts

Glad they were able to come to a deal on at least the cane type item. As Pete said it's hard to find middle ground here when the creator has sentimental value that won't translate to any buyer, and that gets in the way of his being able to make a profit. Cool items though!
Have you thought about devoting a small area of your shop either for just handmade items/art or even allowing artists to sell their work in a small section for a fee? I don't know what rules apply in that town or if it would even be profitable on your end but I can't help but wonder. Good show.
