YES! Thank you for acknowledging Octavarium. It doesn't get anywhere near the credit it deserves.
Glad to see some Galneryus, as you said, Syu is super underrated and not that known which deserves way way more, but yeah glad to see more people getting to know him and Galneryus lately, love it

"Octavarium" is simply perfect, my favourite JP solo along with "The Spirit Carries On". And talking about sweepy solos, the one from "Mea Culpa" by The Human Abstract is so good!
Dude, you nailed "This godless endeavor" solo !!

Alex Skolnick.
Edit: Dimebag
Also Stevie T. "song with all my guitars"
So glad to hear you include Galneryus in here, legend of speed metal. You should maybe make a list of top solos of East Asian artists, Japan and Korea are full of top metal talents
Dude, love all of those solos! Definitely would give my favorite JP solo to Under a Glass Moon and/or The Spirit Carries on, but I’ll be damned if that climax in Octavarium doesn’t pay off in spades. The build is incredible. Been fortunate to catch that one live once.
My favorites are: Necrophagist - Fermented Offal Discharge, basically every solo from Revocation's album "The Outer Ones", Empty Words - Death, and
Bonus Level: The ridiculous exotic solo in the outro of Even The Gods Must Die - Nile
Another song that is very underrated and is like sweep iconic song is cinders veil by unmoored the solo at the end will blow most mainstream solos out of the water
Always loved Mike Scaccias solo in Bodily Dismemberment. Definitely one of my favorites
When I see Galneryus in the description I instantly liked the vid. Syu is the best neoclassical guitarist of the past 10 years, and the band is way underrated
1. Dream Theater - On The Backs of Angels
2. Periphery - Luck as a Constant
3. Metallica - Creeping Death
4. Haken - Veil
5. Avenged Sevenfold - The Stage
HM: Dream Theater - pretty much anything they’ve done, Megadeth - Tornado of Souls, Liquid Tension Experiment - Acid Rain, Periphery - Reptile, Opeth - Bleak
My favorite solos:
1. Tornado of Souls (Marty Friedman)
2. Lucretia (Marty Friedman)
3. Stone Wall (Jeff Waters)
4. Behind the Veil (John Petrucci)
5. Poison was The Cure (Marty Friedman)
It's time more people get to know Galneryus. Syu is definitely one of my favorites.

0:44 This is great. I don’t use distrokid, but I do use a distributor that takes 25% royalties in lieu of a fee. I figured it was worth it, though, because I plan on releasing a self-published poetry collection on Amazon and I fully expect my total income in 2023 from that one book to far exceed my lifetime earnings as a musician. Basically, 15% of nothing is cheaper than any discounted fees.
