I never felt like the power supply was a problem from the noise perspective. It’s always the GPU or the CPU cooler with fans ramping up under load. PSU fans spin at low rpm which barely contributes any noise. Even though cool, this is largely a gimmick unless you go full passive on everything.
I also build my PC around the PSU because in SFF it can be the loudest component. I was using the Silverstone 450W Nightjar SFX-L fanless unit with my 7800x3d and a 4070, but when I upgraded to a 7900xt the 450W tripped OC protection. I tried a few SFX and L units and all were too loud. Settled on the newer Corsair SF1000 SFX which is inaudible at 400W I'm running at but has the current headroom for transient spikes.
so far the newer corsair psus really didnt perform as expceted. espescially the rme and rmx line have bad fan and coil whine. I havent heard or tested the sf1000 yet though. I think for ITX 750W is the Sweet spot anyway.
@@syriangamer89 it was mistake from cybenetics, they published wrong graphs at first. now that they have real data, sf1000 is a bit better than sf750 noise-wise. it's not night and day difference but it's still better and it's silent with my 7700+4080super system
I'm not sure if would do this. Nothing worng with it, would just use a SFX. But absolutely brilliant build, also like the idea of the passive power supply.
I have a Corsair 1000D with (4) 480mm radiators massive reservoir and idk 20+ phanteks T30s, 1600W titanium PSU, etc and even though i can run the fans at low rpm and never have really any fan curve because my liquid temps remain low, its still audible. So Im moving it on the custom cart i built for it into the adjacent room and am just going to pass all my cabling through the wall. It also wont heat up the room Im in. I had to have another duct brought into my PC room to counter the heat.
I had asked them about it- that one is a concept only and they didn't have any plans to produce it (yet). Go for the P1, it's a great one. I have a build for it coming up soon!
I would love some advice. I find my self needing to travel a fair bit, both by road and air. I dislike laptops and so I need to build a travel pc i can fit in carry on luggage. I'm think i will pay to have high end foam cut to measure inside the case. Do you have a suggestion for which case would be best. Im mostly focused on strength to protect components and i prefer air cooling. Is there a case that stands out to you for build quality?
Yes, with the caveat that you can't fine tune the board position unlike with ITX, so the top fan viability will depend on your board heatsinks and cooler choice.
Indeed, I noticed that right now on Amazon. I recall CM's own pricing was different but they're OOS now. Maybe the market price is fluctuating based on that. Either way it's a pricey piece of kit!
Is this the REAL smallest MATX case on the market ? I love it ! I wanna build something like this, but I am scared of the price of the case :( Does somebody make something this small ( and yes, I also mean this short, this hight ) but cheaper ? My components inside will be 65W TDP CPU and 150W GPU, so you know where I am aiming - my components are cheap ( but sufficient for my demands ), so I wanna adequate case for adequate price.
i'll come back to this beautiful PSU probably 5 years from now. its too OP

I was 100% on board untill I heard the price… 💀

Sounds good! You're almost always going to be at the quiet end of things with the 1000W!
just get sf1000 if you want silent psu though, but good job showcasing capabilities of this case
Sf750 is actually better

Yup that can absolutely work too as long as you draw lower than 400W.
I have the Corsair SF750 with a system that doesn't use more than 300 watt (5600X + 3070Ti undervolted). Fan never comes on.
How does having 2 top fans instead of 1 affect gpu , cpu temps in this build, an answer would be highly appreciated

Hi, I also have an ATX PSU and a mATX mobo. Would I be able to fit a 240mm aio and bottom intake fans with a 2.5slot gpu in this case?
Nice built. From the vid it looked like you could add one or two slim fans on the bottom. Do you think it will help the thermal for both GPU and CPU?

hi do you also have the new passive cpu cooler? i dont know if i should wait for that or get the nh p1

Makes it all too tempting
Can You fit this power supply on the top instead of funs ?
As in attach it to the fan plate up top?
@@MachinesMore(Yes) Will it fit at the top if I give up one fan? Would this interfere with a micro-atx board?
For $500 should i get a butler to do this? Could get a HDPLEX with similar power for less
What's the point? There will always be noise sound from the CPU GPU fans no matter how client this PSU is.
Как правило шум от блока питания, это не шум вентилятора. А писк и треск дросселей. Вот это реально бесит. )
will this be possible with mATX motherboard ?

@@MachinesMore and mATX, ATX psu and a WC240? 😬
It’s very ecellent PC building, Bro!!
It's $549 actually

damn. i dont think i can get this with my current GPU :(
It's definitely more restrictive. 160mm ATX will have fewer length restrictions, though the cabling will still interfere.
haha, darn chipset fans on so many AM5 itx boards are such a bummer!
Thankfully under normal use the X870 I one is fairly quiet.
3 likes in 4 minutes? Bro fell off
