The subtitles here make it clearer why Shin was dismissive towards Peach when he asked to go to Chef Yod's. Most of Shin's emotional problems stem from his abandonment issues and here he seems to be afraid that Peach would leave him to go work for Chef Yod. He's also vain about his professional abilities so maybe he wasn't too pleased about Peach being passionate about another pastry chef.
