What about botana corporeal system? That also works with storage drawers. Hold 1 item in hand and type (2345 this) and all 2345 go into the alter with no waiting. No cables, no power. No mana cost. Easy and simple. And I'm sure there are ways to fully automate it.
Well, I believe it would be about as messy as the intro of the video and in which case I'm not interested in trying lol. Someone would be welcome to try it for fun, but in no way would it be practical as I'm pretty sure you'd need a funnel and spark for every single vault altar item and at that point it would be so large that it would be instant, but at the same footprint, all the other mods would also be instant. Also if you remember at the start of the video, all of the methods I was testing were to be filterless. corporea is in no way filterless.
@@zoofology I have tested , you need 2 corporeal sparks. One on top of storage drawers controller. And one master spark on top of the corporeal index block placed next to the vault alter. All the items in the drawers are now in the network. The only filter would be the player requesting the items. But there are other corporeal blocks that do different things. Not sure but it could be automated ? Stack upgrades are a filter also. Just thought It could be useful. GG
Great topic and so concise! I love how you cover all of the options. I would like to see how the 2nd RS controller is setup in conjunction with the main controller, because that's not clear to me. I'll try to grok it one day. you definitely deserve more subs though. Thanks!:)
Well it is completely separate from your other controller. Which is where the expense comes in. AE2 at least doesn't have a single bit of echo that is required because you can backpack off your main system. Also thanks for the sub!
@@zoofology i agree with OzoneB Plays you deserve more subs your great! i do have a question because i too am confused with the second controller, is there a way to have one main refined storage then make all those items goto a drawer storage and then from the drawer storage to the alter? thats what i have right now just need to figure out a way to take from the drawers to the alter without needing a secondary storage just for vault alter crafting

You must be an AE2 enthusiast, not many people expect much from AE2 these days. Though I will say technically in this instance AE2 is faster per cable seeing as a single refined storage importer at max speed can never finish the altar. So it takes at least two.
100% - I'm that weird guy who loves the challenge of the complexity. In my current VH world, however, I'm using RefinedStorage as I've never used it before. It is certainly easier, I'll give it that. I suspect if I'm ever able to unlock automatic genius I'll see the limitations that allow it to be so easy at the beginning. I probably should have chosen xnet too since I took RFTools Storage, and I really didn't like RFTools Storage on its own. It was nice to mix with my stack of netherrie barrels, but the crafting mechanism is weird and shift-clicking in/out and the fact you can craft anything in the modpack without unlocking the mod.
@@christophermccann9251 yeah, I really appreciate applied energistics. As far as how well it's developed. I put it miles ahead of her find storage. Well it does not as user friendly but let's be real, user friendly depends on the IQ of the user. AE 2 just requires higher IQ. And rftools storage is fine for a plug and play solution. But if they wanted to avoid people crafting with it it would have to be locked behind automatic genius. And two in their right mind would get that mod then.
100% - I think the fact that RFTools Stoage doesn't have a separate crafting/storage is why they allowed it. The other storage solutions separate crafting from simple inventory management. RFtools Storage was very nice in the beginning since it has the simplest way to reuse your existing investment in chest/barrel storage. WHile AE, RS and QIO can certainly do that, it's way more resource intensive than a slider to pick the radius for the detection. :)
It very well could have been user error but I wasn't able to get the importer to import into the external storage if the RS network already viewed the drawer network as a storage on its network. Although I did test the importer on the same drawer controller that also had an external storage so Maybe trying it with separate slaves that don't have an external storage connected to them would do the trick.
@@zoofology Finally put in the effort to get this done with refined storage today great tutorial. Do you think you could ever do a video with how to use compacting drawers for this? I am currently trying to figure out how to incorporate compacting drawers into this system.
@@gageloard415 compact straws is as easy as just putting them in your drawer network and it will pull whatever variant fr the drawer that the altar is requesting. So imagine you have a compacting drawer with snow balls that is compacting to snow blocks. It just needs to touch your drawer network like a normal drawer. Takes RFTools Base to be able to craft Xnet controller! How did they miss that prereq.
