If I were a parent so concerned what books my child checked out, I would remain with my child throughout their visit to the library to ensure they didn't bring something I felt inappropriate home. I certainly wouldn't expect or want to have the book banned for everyone.

You should trust your child to self-select what interests them. They’ll read more and retain more that way.
