Thank you for including Thurman Munson. He was my baseball hero during my youth. I was 14 when he died. It broke my heart. I will never forget him. God bless.
As the decade wound to a close Jack "The Tin Man" Haley and Darla "Our Gang/ The Little Rascals" Hood each slipped quietly away into cinematic immortality. John Wayne. Zeppo Marx. Mary Pickford. So many celluloid luminaries slipped away that year. It almost seems absurd to put Sid Vicious among them all, but, yes, he too is a legend.
It's always interesting how some of these people were at the end of their natural lifespans, and thus achieved their peak celebrity even decades earlier, and yet I know who they were. And then there are the ones like John Wayne who have been gone for almost 50 years now and yet retain a significant part of their fame and popularity. And then the ones, like Thurman Munson or Sid Viscous, who with a little different luck or life-style, could still be alive all this time later.
Minnie Riperton was so lovely and had a beautiful singing voice!
Minnie Riperton's voice was so angelic, I'm pretty sure even the birds stopped chirping to listen!
@@funeralfy Think, the birds and I had one thing in common, what a terrible voice. To me it was the sound of a cat stuck between a door !

He was a great Yankee….but those small planes are just too risky
Donnie Hathaway was one of the greatest male vocalist of all times. Greatly missed and appreciated. RIPP Donnie Hathaway.
I enjoyed his duets with Roberta Flack

Great selection of music. Excellent video. Thanks for the description of Uncle Joe from Petticoat Junction, I didn’t know his real name.
I'm glad you enjoyed the music and the video!
Yes. Great video. Very respectful music. Edgar Buchanan also had roles on beaver and the rifleman, a great actor.

It's always bittersweet to see legends leave us, but their work lives on.
All are waiting for the Resurrection to unite them with their families. What a great God we all have.
me too i can't wait. is going to be a beautiful experience.
2:07 would anyone explain why to assassinate someone of 80 YO?
Ted Cassidy ( Lurch), died in 1979 at age 46👍✌️
Even in silence, Lurch's presence spoke volumes. A true legend in the TV world.
You rang?

It's fascinating how some celebrities' legacies endure long after they've passed away.
Don't get rid of the candle it's nice
I rem Edgar Buch in "Shane" and Jack Soo in "The Green Berets";
Buchanan, not Buch; Samsung has some problems with its printer
And Jim Hutton was also in The Green Berets maybe Hellfighters with John Wayne
That is not a photo of Zeppo Marx.
Do know whose photo you have for Zeppo Marx but that is not him.
R.I.P. we all gotta come that way...🙏

Nelson Rockerfeller died with his pants down in one of his love nests.
Lucky guy!
The greatest of them all John Wayne, rip.
The racist that said the natives land deserves to be taken away!!
I love watching this, it reminds me, only famous faces die in the USA.
MINNIE RIPERTON, VIVIAN VANCE CANCER SUCKS . REST IN HEAVENLY PARADISE LADIES . DONNY HATHAWAY WHAT A VOICE .
2:42 And then there's Maude.
I forgot that Donny Hathaway sang the theme song.
That didn't look like Zeppo Marx at all.
Haha, I know, right? Thanks for pointing it out!
I appreciate your observation!
Yess i agree
No it didn't
It wasn’t
Wayne was Marion Michael Morrison
No wonder he changed his name!!!
Many of these deceased were born in the prior century.
*JOAN BLONDELLE* nice actress and attractive woman. =)
Joan Blondell and Merle Oberon were very attractive women
Sid Vicious was never the Frontman of the Sex Pistols.
Sid Vicious might have grabbed the spotlight, but Johnny Rotten was the real frontman!
That was a Vicious comment
He was the bass player and not a very good one!
@@swanman1984. but he was really a sweet guy

So, are you a vintage classic or a modern masterpiece?
@@funeralfy I'd like to think I'm a vintage masterpiece 😂
……get rid of moving candle flame in middle of picture. It’s grossly annoying………
