Thank you to everyone who recommended more of Megadeth. This was so enjoyable. Thank you for all your recommendations. I have been super busy with wildlife rehabilitation, so I had to take a break from Patreon. My new PATREON will return December 13th, so stay tuned for the link in the description. Thank you ✨️🐺✨️
This song helped me through some bad times. I really like the way you include little bits of trivia throughout the video, you've done your research and gone that extra mile to make your videos extra interesting 😊 I salute you o7 I hope you have a great festive season ❤
Dave was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2019. So glad he beat it and is still killing it today!! Continued success working with the animals. It's easy to see you have a kind heart
If you like this song, it is 1 of 4 songs that I know Dave Mustaine wrote about a woman he dated. The first song, 'Wakeup Dead' is the first song about her. The song is off the 2nd album and was 1 of 2 music videos Megadeth released in 1986. You will like the video because of the manic display of the fans during the video. It's also one of the more well known classic Megadeth tracks.
I love this song, so long ago, seems like yesterday. There's a documentary from the 80's about METAL called THE DECLINE OF THE WESTERN CIVILIZATION/ THE METAL YEARS, this song and video is in it.
Back to back Megadeth! 🤘 Early metal Christmas. Doesn't get more metal than Dave Mustaine, all of his songs including the songs he wrote in Metallica are brilliant and immortalized forever.
Dave Mustaine's vocals is a cross between Alice Cooper and Johnny Rotten of the Sex Pistols (Megadeth covered 'No more Mr. Nice Guy' by Alice Cooper... and 'Anarchy in the UK' + 'Problems' by the Sex Pistols )... Years later, Mustaine became close to Alice Cooper and the legendary rocker became Dave Mustaine's godfather and helped him through years of drug and alcohol recovery. In 2001 on Megadeth's 'Behind the Music' documentary on VH1, Mustaine recalled a long list of drugs he had experimented with... The music video for 'In my darkest hour' was filmed in 1988 for the documentary movie - 'The decline of western civilization, Part II: The Metal years'... by director Penelope Spheeris about the 80's rock/ metal scene; Megadeth was a part of it. 'In my darkest hour' was Mustaine reflecting on the moment he was fired from Metallica in 1983 and sent packing from NY to LA on a bus... he described that as 'more detrimental' to him than seeing his father dying from an aneurysm... When Megadeth was on tour in 1986 for their 2nd album "Peace sells, but who's buyin'?" ... someone in their crew told Mustaine that bassist Cliff Burton of Metallica had died at age 24. Despite his animosity towards Metallica at the time, Mustaine found himself grieving for his former bandmate and wrote 'In my darkest hour'... about his sentiments like an eulogy to Cliff Burton... The lines in the lyrics are profound: "I walk, I walk alone, To the promised land, There's a better place for me, But it's far, far away Everlasting life for me, In a perfect world, But I got to die first Please, God, send me on my way..." (From what I heard from Cliff Burton's sister Connie, her brother Cliff had this strange habit every morning watching Bill Graham's Christian ministries on TV... She asked him about it and he just told her that he found the sermons 'fascinating', even though he wasn't religious... In Metallica, he was talking about 'the kingdom of salvation' ... almost like he had an inkling that he wasn't going to be around much longer... He wrote a piece of poetry that became a spoken word section on the Metallica track 'To live is to die'... which was recorded as a tribute to Cliff Burton in '88) Unfortunately, Dave Mustaine and Megadeth were heavily involved w/ drugs by 1987/ '88, as seen by Mustaine smoking in the clip... original members Chris Poland (guitar) and Gar Samuelson (drums) were fired in 1987 because they were hawking band gear for drug money... They hired Jeff Young (guitar) and Chuck Behler (drums) to record Megadeth's 3rd album "So far, so good, so what!" that was released in 1988. Years later, bassist David Ellefson recalled getting dopesick on Megadeth's European tour in '88 and had to return to the US and checked into rehab for he+++n addiction... Dave Mustaine went w/ him - his first trip (among many) to rehab. Both Jeff Young and Chuck Behler were fired by 1989 and replaced in 1990 by Nick Menza (drums) and Marty Friedman (guitar) in what became Megadeth's most successful line-up from 1990 - 1998. However, Mustaine relapsed and ended up getting arrested in 1989 for 'impaired driving' and tested positive for numerous illegal drugs and forced by authorities into rehab again... Thankfully, he and Ellefson were clean when they recorded their 4th album 'Rust in peace' in 1990 and it became Megadeth's first platinum selling record.
For your notebook: Nirvana, "Aneurysm", Live at the Paramount, Seattle, 1991. Pearl Jam, "Jeremy" (official uncensored video). Soundgarden, "Hands All Over" (full version, 6:02). Jane's Addiction, "Mountain Song" (official video). Guns n Roses, "Estranged" (official video). PJ Harvey, "Dress", HD Live, V Festival 2003.
Another solid reaction that I enjoyed. I think its time you react to Iron Maiden Dance Of Death (En Vivo version)!!! Especially since their drummer of 42yrs, Nicko, just performed for the last time this past weekend. I think you'll enjoy the music and story telling. Take care. As always UP THE IRONS
My Favorite song from Megadeth🤘such a great song... So far...is such a great album..songs like Hook in the Mouth & Liar..if you get time should take a listen to them...Love the way you do reaction to videos..keep up the great job! 🤘❤🤘
Dave is such a great songwriter he can make you feel many different ways... You would probably like the song, A Tout le Monde. It's kind of a ballad for Megadeth 😂 Rock on 🤘😎
Sad no more. Thank you, wind... I'm not the biggest Megadeth fan but I enjoyed this one, especially Dave's vulnerability... "How can anyone have a voice like that?" asks Amariss. Lemmy from Motorhead: "Hold my cigs & Jack Daniels!" 😄... Really hoping you'll share more about your animal rescue & rehab work once your Community Page is up, including pics! Thank you, Amariss. Woo!
Blood of Heroes is my favorite Megadeth song. But throughout their entire discography, they have SO MANY really great songs. Honestly they are right up at the top with another rock band. That band being Metallica. The song trust by Megadeth would be my 2nd honorary mention.
I had a Black Leather jacket like that in the 80's and 90's, with a fringe down the sleeves, and a "V" down the chest and back, until a girlfriend in the 90's took possession of it and never gave it back
Recorded during want to make it out some more turbulent and drug-infused eros, with why I would consider to be their least strong lineup.... and yet the song and the material in general speaks for itself as absolutely brilliant. Even firing on less than all cylinders Mustane was still ahead of the game
Also, can I recommend something nobody else will, and probably nobody else will react to... Band: Devildriver Songs: Grinfuxxed and Hold Back The Day . Just do them both together since they are in that order on the album. 🤘😎
Hey beautiful its Anthony from south West London England hope ur well and everything is well? Another great reaction as always glad ur enjoying the old bands and songs keep it up and great ur workimg and helping wildlife ur wonderful keep being u never change also check out British band tbe darkness with there hit i believe in a thing called love also check out British band madness with there hits it must be love our house plus loass more also check out British band the lighting seeds new order ub40 and the specials please add them too u list have a good evening take care beautiful stay safe speak soon Anthony gibbs from south West London England ❤
Try to react to Five Magics (original version, not remastered) of megadeth as well, is one of the Best megadeth songs, just a wild song, You Will love it, good reaction anyways. :)
Hey, you should listen to the album version, without the video, you’re missing a big part of the intro, and the best with the acoustic guitar PS: if you liked this one you might also like Cemetery Gates from Pantera, very similar backstory and vibe (also the album version if possible, they have a thing for cutting beautiful intros 😉)
Wow, sometimes "bad" things are definitely blessings in disguise. I really like Dave Mustaine so far. I'm thrilled to have discovered Megadeth. ✨️✨️🔮✨️✨️
Maybe a little extreme, but when it comes to nature and criticism of cruelty towards animals, the band "cattle decapitation" with their song "kingdom of tyrants" puts human beings where they deserve. in case it's of interest. Led Zepp with their song "since i've been loving you" if you're looking for a boost and some interesting, rich, glam, classic rock. Deep Purple with their song "Child in Time" for something complex, powerful and majestic. Great reaction, I can't wait to see what's next on your rock and metal journey.✌️cheers!
Does the wolf on the wall have eyes painted on or am I tripping? I couldn't stop looking at it, zooming in and I couldn't tell if it's eyes were painted on or if it is just the way that the light is reflecting off of it. Please react to the Reflecting God by Marilyn Manson.

I'm so happy to hear that it helped you. It will be my go-to song, as well. Thank you, may you have a warm and cozy holiday season. ✨️✨️✨️

I'm glad he beat it, as well. I have bottle fed so many wild animals and kittens this year that I've lost count. Thanks ✨️

The "music" was written when DAVE learned of CLIFF's passing......the "lyrics" are about a failed romantic relationship.
