Hi friends, the explanation was a bit long but I promise it would help you understand what’s going on here. Would you like to see videos like this with updates to study permits and my recommendations?

Don’t be. They increased POF as an extra measure to be sure that you will be able to sustain yourself as a new immigrant and not have to add to the problem we are facing

I'm confused a bit about this proof of funds, e.g if I'm using like up to six bank statements with affidavits, they required that all the six statements should have at least a total amount of 20,653 CAD and above?
And must i bring the money with me to canada or i just those bank statements as a document that I can support myself when i get to canada?
Lastly, does the 20,6..... CAD include my one year tuition fee? What if my tuition fee is 30,000 cad will my proof of funds now be 50,65.... Cad?
Pls ma answer this question thanks

In your example, if you use 6 bank statements, are they from one sponsor? And yes, if you use that many bank statements, the balance on all of them added together should be 20,635$ or more, but not less than the amount.
The bank statement is in the form of a financial document. Don’t come to Canada with the cash of $20,635 because that’s too much cash to hold on you while travelling to avoid problems at the border centre.

If total tuition for your program is $30,000 in your example, you can show a bank statement of 1 year tuition. For example. If your total tuition for the entire program is $40,000 and for the first year, your tuition is $10,000, just add an extra 10,000 - 15,000 which brings it to about $25,000 in a bank statement. Also, you have to factor in accommodation, feeding and transportation costs in the bank statement. I’ve made a video about how to calculate POF based on how I calculated mine when I first came to Canada.

@@adacanada thanks ma, are you say if my tuition fee for a year is 10,000 I can just had 5,000 making it 15,000 then add it to the 20,635 which will now be 35,635 as my proof of funds

What are you coming to Canada for? To study? Then choose schools that don’t require IELTS. Also, that IELTS may be required if you are from a country that is not exempt from IELTS because they don’t recognize your country as English speaking
