As always, Dr. Ingrid Mattson gave a wonderful presentation. I think the intimate, closely examined example of the holy prophet is the best lens we have to learn how to practice Islam holistically.

Personally I have so much respect for Shaykh Hakim Murad here...but this is a mistake giving her platform.. not sure how this sister who is strongly affiliated with an organization called 'HEART' that normalizes LGBTQ behaviour can represent the prophetic mission. May Allah Azwajil protect us from the ones who cause fitna within. Please advise me if i got this wrong.

is this a masjid? why did they not get a hall and have this talk. why have women and men in the masjid sitting side by side. they should take this to a hall not in a masjid. this is misleading and wrong against Islam and sunnah. The imam of this musjid should check himself, a sin committed publicly effects the whole society it is not just about these individuals.

And a woman giving a lecture to men has absolutely nothing to do with Islam.
