sir i m confuse in material choice for my tooth...
it is front center upper tooth..
just below gumline..
i filled with gic but it melted..
now again cavity formed..
i have to fill again...
if i put composite..
will it irritate and caus epain to gums..
any other best strong material ?
Go for veneers...or good composite build will also do.
Hi sir... Very helpful video sir.
One request sir,can you make a video on caries susceptibility test,
vitality test and tooth bleaching sir?
I will try to work on these :)
Meanwhile you can check the pulp and periapical video which has which does explain the vitality part

OK sir. I will watch it .
Sir what is the diff bw cavity prep for amalgam and gic????
It depends on the area of restoration. Since GIC Bonds chemically, it may require very minimal preparation

Sir a short video on composite vs amalgam cavity preparation
Yes. We can do that.. good suggestion :)
Do check other videos on Fundamentals series. I have covered everything
You can check in Sturdevent text book.
Can you make videos from other subjects also sir?
Prosthodonics, oral surgery ,etc
Which will be really helpful sir.
Endoperio lesions also sir.
I wish to do that in future. But making one good video takes almost a week with sound recording and video editing. I am currently concentrating on DM, Cons and Endo. I will try to do few on other subjects too :)
OK sir... Hope to see the video's. Thank you sir for your effort.
Good explanation Dr,
Sir how we get to know that we hve reached the DEJ and now we hve to remove only. 0.2 mm of dentin,
I know that enamel if harder than dentin, so we can feel softness during prepration,
But how exactly we get to know we hve reached beyond DEJ
Great question. The colour is different too than consistency
Pt has more sensitivity as soon as u reach dej
@@Aspire32 ,That is rt sir,
Sir can we check with the help of 245 bur, as by its dimensions
I mean if bur goes more than half into the prepared cavity, that time we should be having idea that bur has reached into the dentin, as normal thickness of enamel is 2 -2.5 mm
@@drmajidwani9257 does enamel thickness is same in every patient?
Ty :D
Most welcome :). Pls check the whole series to understand the topic completely. Dont forget to subside :)
hi sir your videos are really helpful thank you soo much sir can and sir pls can you explain the diagrams given in book
Hi Mahadev. Thank you for leaving the comments. I do try to put pictures from the book but since its copyright I can use only few with credits. I do add few of my own. Unfortunately I am not good with drawings. I will surly to incorporate better diagram.
Do check class 2 video. It had better pictures. Here is the link ua-cam.com/video/_85BAZA6dxo/v-deo.html
Best lecture ...Book refered ?
Sturdevant
Sir 4 months are left for neetmds.can you please give me some tips for revision and other stuff.
At the end you should only concentrate on revision and not taking too many nee books. Revising the subject's you always find tough should be your priority
Amalgam is a brittle material?
It's weak and tensile strength. That is in thin section.
@@Aspire32 okay sir thank you
