The same problem happened to me .... I completely drained the battery then the charging logo appeared, I left it up to 100%. I then tried to turn it on but it froze again. I waited again for the battery to discharge then I charged but this time I turned it on at 30% by pressing volume+ and power... the phone went into hard reset mode then I chose reboot and it started....I hope this help you

Did the last solution and it worked.
First time having this issue in 3 months of use.
The phone wasn't responding at all, not even when I was plugging it to a charger.
I changed chargers and cables without any results.
After it turned on I realized that all that time that it looked dead, it was charging !
??! Battery reached 30% !??
Very strange.. Xiaomi needs to stable that firmware

same exact problem, did you solve it? It's the third time it happens, the first two ended by running apparently randomly when I tried to reboot it for the nth time, but this third time seems not to turn on... I'll keep trying (the last two times it happend when I was forced to turn it off because the vibration got stucked and couldn't end in any way, I could only turn it off, but then it doesn't turn on anymore, at the moment I am trying to reboot it for like the 100th time)

Sims cards were not the issue but great job on noticing one of those. All press-on buttons will trigger the phone since it has turned off and the phone will automatically do its job. Thank you! This helped a lot :)
