Definitely more Aurora (or repop) monsters in my future as I already mentioned in the video.

Awesome !! I remember building him growing up. Great memories. Nice job.👍

Thanks. While a few other of my kits in recent years have been nostalgic rebuilds of kits I built as I kid, none were as sentimental as this kit. Almost every part of the kit was exactly as I remembered it. I was so glad I could do it all over again.

Really nice work on the Creature Dario, turned out really nice, it's a classic kit, glad Atlantis has brought it back, 😎👍

Thanks Tom. This was a kit I really hoped I could find someday so I was thrilled to see it in one of our local shops over a year ago. You've never seen anyone snatch a kit off a shelf faster than I did that day.

Looks awesome Dario! Turned out super! That movie was filmed just a few hours drive from me at Wakulla Springs!

Thanks. Cool that you are so close to the filming site. Keep those doors locked (for creatures and hurricanes!)

Looks awesome Dario, too bad there are so many seams to fix. You really did your research, lots of intereresting info on the movie. The additional details on the base look great. I'd be tempted to brush some Future over his eyes, mouth, hands and feet to make them look a little more shiny and wet. The snake looks amazing. Nicely done buddy.

Thanks. I did put Future on both the Creature and the lizard's eyes. I do not mind seams as long as they are 'fixable'. (PS: I did manage to make a quick stop at that Kinston model Flea Market yesterday on the way back from Toronto. Picked up two kits and had a nice chat with "The Lazy Eyed Modeler". We'll discuss more at our next meetup)

I have a few (The Phantom of the Opera, King Kong and Dracula) in my stash that I will be getting to over the next year or so. Since they are so hard to find I don't want to build them all right away. I hope to find more and always keep my eyes peeled for the others I'm missing.

That came out really nice. I built one maybe 20 years ago. I went with a gloss green with a lightly brushed gold over that. That's the good thing about black and white movies - you can do any color you want to LOL. There have been other Creature model kits but this old Monogram model can still hold it's own - especially with the updated fixes you have done to the parts 👍

Thanks. While I love this Creature kit above the others, now that I've built him again I'm hoping I can some of the other newer/different kits just so I can have him in different poses.

@@dariosmodelbuilds That's a good point 🙂 One of the creatures for the movie (the one that did many of the diving scenes) , Ricou Browning, lived here in Florida before he passed away.

@@brucek3217 Yes Ricou passed away only about a year ago (one of the last surviving actors from the film) and from what I understand he was still appearing at conventions until close to the end of his life. I mention him in my video an include one of his 'long' dive scenes.

Excellent job, Sir and I like the epoxy idea for the scales
