My favorite of all time. I sold my first Verite to buy the Susvara. Then I sold my Susvara to rebuy the Verite. What makes it so special is its ability to be highly detailed and yet smooth, at the same time. That's a very hard formula to create. And I find it to have an absolutely addictive 3D, holographic soundstage. I love it. Great review!
Spot on about the simple concept of it just makes things sound good. Listening to my forever songs of all kinds and it's just a new level of pleasant. I don't even want to turn on my analyzing ears. I've owned detail monsters and bass cannons. Found my goldilocks cans. Not sure if you mentioned, lifetime warranty on drivers. Can't fathom ever selling these.
This is the best review so far with verte compared to other reviewers not only you reviewed it based on otl amp but you also mentioned the difference in sound in the pads.
I have the same EXACT feeling with the ZMF Aeolus. Nothing stands out at all but its an excellent all-rounder and has an addictive sound. Soundstage is not wide, but the imaging grabs your focus like nothing else can.
William: TMJ in your right jaw: Get a C1 adjustment from your chiropractor. It helps a lot because the transverse process of the vertebrae rotates towards the TM joint and crowds it.
i think i never saw you more exited talking about a headphone, yet i still have to see all the reviews, but i think you missed talking about the tube part (or i may be too tired and have missed it)
Hey William! Have you heard maybe verite closed ? It's amazing closed back especially with tubes, soundstage size of open backs, outstanding engineering
@@theheadphoneexperience-wil2250 After a year or so I can truly recommend you Audio Technica ADX5000, as I know you like those perfect highs and it delivers but I soften it a bit with Feliks tube amp, its underdog without a reason... my best headphones when it comes to true uncolored music, amazing vocals and 3d stage
Nice Review, but I would like to bring to your attention that your pad placement is the reverse of what Zack of ZMF recommends. He advises that the narrow portion of a pad with stitching should be behind your ears and the wider portion be in front, basically above eye level to upper jaw. Zach has a video on this pad placement. Verites are great!
I will need to check that out. If the thick side of the pad was in front, it would angle the driver forward. That would be backwards from every other headphone I have ever seen.
I must apologize. Zack says align the seam, thinner portion with the rods toward the top area rear rods which would put the wider section(s) along the bottom/rear areas. Keep up the good work.
This man didn't use the right pads. The Verite perforated pads are the ones to use on the Verite Open if you want the most strongest and most fast/dynamic sound style.
The Verite pads give a more neutral sound. The Universe pads give a warmer more bassy sound, which I preferred on this headphone. It's really a matter of personal taste and what a person is looking for.
Great review William. I think you have really hit the nail on the head with your description of the sound of these beautiful headphones.
Thank you.
The timbre is almost always superior too, maybe this was something that was making you love it
Thanks Mr for your great review! I can't stop loving my Verite!
I bought a verite open ltd soon after watching your review, thanks William!

I love your review William. I just order my pair of VO. Now it's the waiting period... it's the hardest to get through LOL :D
Same feeling with the "spherical" soundstage, William... I think is due the extensive porting....
Exactly why I love it.

Very bad detail retrieval as well. Its like an refine HD650
Great video man!
Thank you.
