Sarath Santosh has been learning music from the age of 7. He won many accolades from greatest singers like S.P.Balasubrahmanyam garu, Vani Jayaram garu when he participated in "Paadutha Theeyaga", in which he won the 3rd position. Popularity on television was a key element in giving the Hyderabad-born singer a major career break. For a child who would only sing and hum tracks at home, a win on MAA TV’s Padalani Undi in 2003 changed the way he approached music.
Though a statistics student by qualification, Sarath is now pursuing an M.A in music in Chennai. Despite regular classical performances, his focus remains on playback singing for now

Hey Sarath - I saw your saregamapa and then paadutha theeyaga. After that, one day, I bumped into vijaya tv super singer and saw that you were participating. Since then, I started following complete series and was especially excited when SPB sir came as judge in one of the episodes. I picked up some tamil language by watching that show and also got to know a lot more Ilayaraja sir's songs that I never knew before. I think you sang Andhi Mazhai song right - may be in subsequent series of super singer. Totally glued to that song since then. It's very interesting to see that your tamil debut song is in the film in which Makapa Anand acted, one of the anchors of super singer when you participated. Lots of blessings little bro and looking forward to listening to lot of melodies from you in the future. Do sing and record Andhi Mazhai again when you get a chance and share it. Super excited to watch your first telugu interview - only half way done.. will continue now :) Also, well done on challa gaalilo yamuna thathi pai song
