    Articles are very important in French and very often in such videos on other channels words are used without them.
    It's great that words come immediately with articles, it's very convenient.
    You don't need to look up in a dictionary to find out the gender of a word.
    And, of course, thanks for the examples of using this words in a sentence.
    You can just watch and improve your vocabulary.
    Merci beaucoup!😊

      Thank you for your comment, I am glad it helps to have articles next to each word, add more work but at least it is useful for some viewers. 😉

    Je vous remercie pour votre travail. Vos vidéos sont tellements utiles pour améliorer mes vocabulaires. Je suis Cambodgien et j'habite en Suisse. J'ai remarqué que vous mentionnez deux fois de mon pay (du Cambodge et de Kompot). C'est un grand plaisir pour moi.

    Why is it Je fais pousser and not Je suis pousser in the legumés part?

    • @learnfrenchwithescargot
      @learnfrenchwithescargot  2 місяці тому

      Hello
      "Je fais pousser des légumes." means I grow vegetables. (faire pousser/grow)
      If you say "Je suis poussé", it means that you are push by someone/something.
      For example:
      Je suis poussé par le vent - I am pushed by the wind.
      Nous sommes poussés par la foule - We are pushed by the crowd.

    I understand that you're trying to slow down your speed because of recommendations by some of your viewers but I find it a bit unnatural to listen to, and it's a little hindering when trying to learn the actual speed of French speakers. I much prefer your older videos.
    I love your channel, though !

      Thank you for sharing your thoughts with me. Indeed, speaking at a slower pace sounds less natural, and I am sorry if it hindered your learning experience. As you said, some viewers asked me to slow down the pace of my videos, so I wanted to accommodate their needs and create content that is accessible to a wider range of learners. But I totally understand that it might not be everyone's preference. I will try to find the right balance in my future videos. Meeting the expectations of a diverse audience is not an easy task in a single video. 😅

      If you find it slow, go to the settings on the top right corner and change the speed to go faster.

    "il faut trois oeufs..." means "you need 3 eggs..." I thought il was "he"?

    • @learnfrenchwithescargot
      @learnfrenchwithescargot  8 місяців тому +2

      Bonjour.
      You are right, “il” means “he”, but in this case I used “il faut” from the verb falloir.
      This verb is only used in the third person singular impersonal expression “Il faut”.
      While "Il faut" literally translates to "It is necessary," in English, it can also mean “you need/you must”.
      For example:
      Il faut faire tes devoirs. / You must do your homework. (alternative, same meaning. Tu dois faire tes devoirs.)
      Il faut rajouter de la farine. / You need to add flour. (alternative, same meaning. Tu dois rajouter de la farine)
