He is still alive in the actual game. Some underwater cars were turned gold with his golden touch under Risky Reels in the new update.
Oh dear, when NSP write a scene saying that Midas has passed on his Golden Touch to Jules and that he is "a part of her" now, I'm afraid that is them blatantly saying they won't bring Midas back as an acting character. On the one hand, I understand. Midas' personal story arc is finished. He had a strong final episode, bringing him back just for the sake of having him play second fiddle in someone else's story would diminish that. He's dead and has nothing to come back to, as he lost everything and everyone hates him now. But on the other hand, seeing him gone except for the ramifications of the things he did still persisting (like the flood he didn't even intend to happen) makes me sad. (Still a better fate than what Epic did to him.)
I had hoped at least his spirit (Ghost-style Midas?) might meet the Higher Powers who imposed sanctions on Oro.
And now that Marigold's/Jules's mini-story arc of getting over her guilt for her father's deeds is over and Midas will no longer pop up to haunt her, he's truly gone. :( So this was his second, final tiny send-off. The passing of the torch.
Good for her, to develop her as a character to be her own person. Sad for us. At least we can hope it was truly him speaking to her in the end; that he was granted the chance to say goodbye to her and receive her forgiveness.

Yes Midas did awful things but he knows that and he’s regretting his actions. If I could apologise for Midas I would even if jules pointed a drum gun at me. I want Midas to come back somehow and be alright, whether it be through the power of the light or some other means.

I think that will be the next episode. The first episode to start that plot was "A day in the life of kit", where we heard Skye call Meowscles. Then there were three episodes between that and the next development (Kit gets kidnapped, Jules origin story and kit is saved). Now there's been three episodes since the last development (Kit falls in love, Kit gets a fan club and Ghost Midas haunts Jules). Also, this is on newscapepro 3, so the next episode should be on the main channel, where the most important plots are. All signs point to next episode being about Skye and Meowscles.
