One of the most beautiful songs ever written.
No doubt.
You said it!
He wrote this 50 years ago, what a Beautiful Masterpiece, "listen to your junkman" x
Beautiful song...simply beautiful...Bruce had some poetry in him back in the day.
Absolutely fantastic
A great and very underrated song
from a very good and very underrated album
I was in Rome about 5 weeks earlier
He opened the show with the same song
I will never forget this
Hey Bruce, please call Your boys and come back
to Europe soon; I will be there for sure
To all the people out there:
You must see them live if you can
It will change your life
I love the complexity and imagery of the early Bruce compositions. Nothing he's done since can match the beauty of this one. Well, maybe Jungleland ;-)
My favorite Springsteen song and album.
fantastico ed emozionante! il rammarico e la sfortuna (nonostante l'abbia visto molte in concerto) di non averla mai potuta ascoltare dal vivo. mi consolo ascoltandola in vinile tra i miei bootleg!
What a performance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 43 years later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
just.......thank you so much for sharing the magic. My first Springsteen concert was 1975; it never gets tired.
probably a little bit before you saw him, i brought my gf "disco Debbie" up from Shrewsbury to Madison Sq Garden to see CHICAGO--i loved them---place is lit up and a guy walks on stage and is singing--people moving around and lights on--second song the lights dim and people stop moving a little, --by the third song he had the whole audience captured--it was Bruce (and although we went to the Stone Pony, we did not know who he was?????????????
so in love with this song . 💚💚
Thanks for posting this. 😀
I can't thank you enough for all your sharing, MagikRat.

This man sang forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then he kept going and kept going and kept going!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

miss the power of clarence's horn. and the personality and elegance of danny's hammond
You are so right but thier spirit lives on in the ESB.
There was no Hammond on the original track at all. It's a bad mix also
Genius!!
Great work guys! Pleased to see them using my Yamaha Motif XS 7, even though this keyboard has been out now about four years.
Charlie did use that. Had Dan been around he would have gotten rid of the Alesis gear he used earlier on.
A lovely song. Rome 7/11/13 tops this tho
Great camera work! You must be a tall fella -- no heads in the way! Smart Phone?
average height. there was nobody in front of me. Point & shoot camera.
Loved the shows in the 1970’s.
The magic is gone. Nothing lasts forever.
But it was one hell of a ride while it lasted.
Typical Boss Man - all or nothing, and it's always all.
Habakkuk 3:17 Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labor of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls.
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will Joy in the God of my Salvation.
The Lord God is my strength, and he will make me to walk upon high places. *To the Chief Singer on My Stringed Instruments*
ok. yeah.
Even though this is "New York Serenade," it can not hurt to add a little more *Light* to the following of "Blinded By the Light" People Get Ready, There's a Train Coming!!!
*Amen*
I can only hear the piano..
what strings?
That would be the violins etc
