If you know how statistics work you would get how much difference it makes the amount of people using a character. Almost nobody uses yukong because of the general perception she has, but those who use her do so becaus they maxed her out and are the most knowledgeable so they can make use of everyone and get the faster clears. While the most used characters suffer from having the biggest amount of casuals bringing down their average clears by a ton. If yukong is played by 10 people and those 10 people arent casuals, her numbers are going to be more impressive than the best support played by a million players.
Oh yeah Anton Tier 2 is a joke too. If you didn't know already, C1 Anton can have infinite uptime on his burst attack by spacing out his burst mode attack so only the drill hits, his C1 refund energy on his drill so he will have literal infinite dps uptime on a character balanced by having low uptime due to limited energy.
Can't agree with that T2 of nekomata. She comes with a free dash. Theoretical DPS are one thing but being able to stand behind the enemy not having to evade and continue to hit the enemy felt pretty much S tier when I tried her.
I will argue that Piper has the role more of a Stun than a DPS. She does a LOT of Daze damage all because she does a lot of Assault and Hits. Not as fast as Lycaon, but she can compete with Anby.
Some questionable takes once you see CN opinion. Nicole is one of strongest supports atm, grace has been used for the full clear, corin isnt anywhere close to billy( she is better) and piper is broken levels currently.

IDK where this mindset of "if a unit is not S Tier it's unusable" comes from. Just because Grace is not placed in Tier 0 that means she cannot clear the current content..? And Nicole is good, but CN often rates at highest potential and prydwen (and me for that matter) at Cinema 0. Though she will also certainly jump a tier when Zhu Yuan releases. Pipers good, don't have much to add to that. Maybe she's more like Tier 1, you might be right about that.
Piper on tier 2 is so out of touch, I think you are way over rating "stun" units. Every unit can stun, not just dedicated stunners, and thus not every stunner is that great, you have to look at the bigger picture. Piper is a dps (via assault) + anomaly + stun + buff all in one, and she scales VERY well with her sig weapon and dupes. While she doesn't do anything except anomaly that well, the fact she does them all is extremely valuable in condensing roles.
While you may not see that big of a difference right now, fully build stun units will vastly outperform the daze application of any non-stun unit because, well, they are built for damage instead of stun. Stacking Impact, Daze% and so on will make a drastic difference later into the game.

Anton has very strong team on release. But his best team is very expensive including 2 standard 5 stars units which is really difficult to get in current game state. Not to mention his best rotation drill cancel combo is rather difficult to exetuce for majority of the playerbase. My conclusion is Anton is very strong damage dealer with proper/expensive team building and high difficult rotation. That's the thing that makes him lower than units like Soldiergirl or even Ellen.
This is gonna lose all its hype in a month or two and will be confined to a niche. The combat is outdated for a game released in 2024. World is empty and boring and storytelling is lame, even if story might be good. The game is not bad but it lacks the factor to retain its players beyond releasing fanservicy characters. left button mashing, no jump and switching to parry in an ARPG game is like 8 years old thing with nothing impressive to introduce. Bamboos sound like a great idea but less impactfully implemented unlike Echoes from wuwa. hoyo simps are not gonna like it but the 50M downloads is due to it being on the same launcher as Genshin/HSR and doesn't relate to game's popularity. many of the people just installed it cuz it was popped it on their face everytime they open HoyoPlay. game is mid and dead seeing its popularity on yt
While a jump button/less invisible walls during missions could add a lot of combo variety, the combat as it stands has a bunch of depth if you choose to actually utilize it, just because you're not required to use another button other than LMB during the beginning story doesn't mean it's the only way to play the game. The presentation is super unique and detailed with impeccable animations, the world is fun to engage in instead of another soulless open world fantasy world for the 10000th time, and the storytelling requires the player to read sometimes. I have the attention span of a fruitfly at times but even I can read VG dialogue just fine.

If you spin with piper to stun you'll get interrupted, you usually use her on stunned units
