Korn hit me huge when I was in Jr high…. I was a guitar player around freshman high school. They inspired me to add/try 7 string guitars… Korn added so much to music for me and I’m sure many others. They were literally a change in the world of metal music and guitar.
I used to be scared of these guys. For a REALLY long time, I refused to listen to them and swore up and down I'd never be a fan. Now, before y'all go bashing me, I grew up with a specific musical background and lived with a negative image of metal. This is why I've spent, literally, my entire life up until after high school not listening to metal. Fast-forward to today: I've got their stuff in my iPhone, got a CD, want more, I blast them at work because I work the early morning crew, and they SAVED MY LIFE. Talk about a turn-around, eh? KoRn saved my life and are saving it every day. I can't get through my day without their music fueling me so I have the will to complete my duties both to my job and to myself. If it weren't for them, I'd never have touched my guitar, ever again.
loodiamexican I was the exact same way. was told metal was bad and you shouldn't listen to it, and then found korn. and then after that I was all about metal but still have to listen to korn to get me going when I need it.

Korn is by far my favorite band, but contrary to popular opinion, Life is Peachy is my least favorite album overall. I love that music hits everyone a little differently. :)

It's "would have", not "would of"... 😂dude I am sorry to trip, but the guy who corrected you was smoking some serious shit😂Now that I got that out-of-the-way, i'm completely behind you on the Fieldy comment. I met Fieldy in 95 when they were touring with Marilyn Manson and Danzig...Great dude, and he was the best part of the show. Watching him play bass on stage was unbelievable
I'm glad I got to go see these guys in Fresno, on March 1, before the lockdowns. #socialdistancing I know it's been a few years now, but man... Not even for the music, but for their personal lives, I'm so glad that the band members found it in their hearts to forgive Brian for leaving. This is really a tale of time healing wounds. I love that they're all sober now, and still making great music. Maybe one day things will mend with David... that seems to be an ongoing personality clash though, and Ray seems like a good guy too, so it's not like I'd want him out of the band... They could just have two set players like Slipknot. :D Maybe some alternative percussion stuff. Two percussionists can really make for a huge difference in dynamics. Even if David never comes back to the band, I'd like them all to be able to hash out their differences like they did you Brian, though. It's funny... Korn's definitely my favorite band, but I'm totally all about people making peace in their lives. Strife just gnaws at the pit of my stomach. I'm glad that Brian found that same peace that I enjoy. :) Stay strong Korn, and stay happy and blessed! PS: I've lived in Bakersfield my entire life, and I've only ever even seen any of these guys once, in passing. My brain didn't even fully comprehend it until it was too late to walk up and say "Hi. I love your band." Funny enough, I was outside of a Curves fitness at the time. My wife worked there, and they had a purse vendor outside, so I was just hanging out with them all. Then two doors down, JD, a woman (I'm assuming his wife) and (again, I'm assuming) a bodyguard come out of the salon and get in a big black truck... He noticed me staring at his truck as he drove by though, my jaw was probably on the ground, and I at least got an acknowledging wave and a smile.

The drummer is newer to the band, probably just plays what they want him to, doesn't have insight on past issues, and Fieldy is kind of a jackass, so I'm glad he doesn't do the interviews. Haha
