- Seattle Surge's Sam "Octane" Larew has had a rollercoaster of a career, but still is regarded as one of the best ARs in the CDL today. We sit down with him to discuss his path to joining the Seattle Surge, from the lowest of lows to the highest of highs.

Where do you rank Octane among ARs in the Call of Duty League?

Octane,Skyz and Arcitys and Formal are prob the most dominant AR players that I can think of right now, don't get mad if I didn't list someone, that's just at the top of my head
Abe Games Well they are the most recent and relevant so I have to agree Octane at most as proven right now he doesn’t belong at an underwhelming-performing team like Seattle. He’s up there and it didn’t take long for him to be recognized
FaithySZN Nah, Arcitys or GodRx for me. Based on team-wise they’ve both proven to win games against other teams

Formal, Slasher, then either Clay or Octane but tbh probably Clay. Octane needs to win a ring
Brendon I would say Clay is flex not AR except in this game so not really in this conversation.

Never had hate towards Octane.... but man when I heard him say that he started to cry when they lost bo4 champs last year.... I felt so bad because Surge isn’t doing too well 😕😞
Yes pros cry when they lose, that’s passion. Fans scream when their team does good, that’s passion. And for everyone who spams “cringe” when they see people being passionate towards something they love in the CWL/CDL Live chat goes to show they have nothing to be passionate about in their lives.

IMO he is one of the greatest AR players ever and he will continue to be so. He's so calm and collected in the moments when has to be but I'm not sure his dreams coming true this year without a roster change. These guys are struggling man

What a great player
It's so weird! I hated Octane so much when I first watched bo4 champs because of this one stupid thing he did which I thought was obnoxious. But after watching longer and seeing his own youtube channel and who he really is, he is easily my favorite player now! He's so funny and his aim is great. I love his drive and I wish the best for him.

If there’s one thing about Octane, aside from BO3 & WWII, he’s been on teams who’ve performed fairly badly and then they turn up at the end of the year.

F34R Chavez925 Cellium is a flex just like Godrx. Majormaniak is the main AR for Faze. And also Wuskin and Skyz have been better than Denz
