I really hope she means that her wish is for her children not to be SELF conscious (insecure) about their race, not that she doesn’t want them to be conscious (aware) about their race.
I know she’s been known to say she does not like to discuss race and ethnicity. Hoping she’s evolved and that she teaches her kids about their awesome cultures and to be proud of it all.
I totally understand what she is saying. There is only one race, and that's HUMAN. She is not going to pass other people's hangups or insecurities onto her children.
