It's a masterpiece
Major Feist vibes from the stripped-down, emotionally-charged folk-rock sound from the outset. Love the contrast between the grungy guitar and the bright, bold and transparent sound of your affecting vocal performance - so much conviction. Even more love for the brilliant transition from a raw, bare sound to a richer, cleanly-mixed one; doing so makes repeated listens to this track a lot more appealing relative to some of Feist's recent work. Casually listened through the five tracks released on your Bandcamp page, and this was one of the standouts for me, along with "Resentment". Of course, I ended up buying both tracks and even dug up a bit of context for some of the tracks. The specificity of the lyrics seem to point at something so unusual that I cannot help but learn more about the story behind those lyrics. My heart is with you Madi, for all the emotions you have had to sort out, the complexity of your relationship with your partner and the profundity to be gained from your experiences! Great work :)
