I don't think that's common in vinyl box sets but that would probably cost even more. But I totally hear you, as the separate entire cd/blu ray bundle is gate fold. But the cd housing here is kind of a gate fold, although not uniquely, as it's more slotted in one giant vinyl gatefold I had the standard editon first and also the separate cd/dvd bundle, in which yes the that version is a gate fold. The standard 3 black version vinyl of this is only a slot in (slip in outer box) for the records in thee invidual single sleeve also. This deluxe box set is definitely better (as a lift open box) but I did notice it has no image on the back of the box like the standard editon of the set does (with prince live on sttage) That aspect is batter in the black standard vinyl editon.
@@mpharris1999 well the none separate entity cd/blu (if you buy it separately to this package) )is a gate fold so therefore uniquely that actually looks more deluxe than this (the cds), as it is housed as an actual gate fold, in fact it's a 3 way gate fold out, whith he images looking way more classy than this deluxe, in a none separate entity sense. This is nice but it's cds housed in big vinyl sleeves with single slip sleeves. The separate entuty cd/blu ray package being housed in a cd sized 3 way gate fold sleeve is much better, as it's compact in relevance to that particular format. It looks more collectible. With the vinyls they could have made it a 3 way gate fold as it's almost the same area give and take an inch or so. It might cost more but this is a lift up box opposed to the standard black vinyl editions slip in box sleeve.

Great to see this as I only opted for the regular cd/blu-ray set on this one (so far) which I am absolutely loving.

I only wished the CD and Vinyl covers had been gatefolds.
