Today I had the MP diff fitted to my manual M140i. RWD is new to me...seeing your car control has given me something to aim for when I hit Bedford next year, nice work 😀👍
MarkCup70 yes dsc fully off, press and hold the button for a few seconds. It puts everything into the sport plus setting for dampers/steering/throttle when in this mode. I’ve never tried it in sport plus but imagine it’d be much slower and wouldn’t allow any slip, maybe I’ll try next time 👍
@@samellio I wouldn't bother with Sport+ Sam. Settings are the same as DSC fully off, except you get a sharper throttle and the traction control and DSC are still active, but less so than in the normal comfort mode. I'd heard that with a diff you could get a lot of movement in Sport+ hence my original question. My experience in my car last night and this morning confirm that the Sport+ safety nets are still there and very intrusive!
@@samellio No afraid not. Just got back from Spa and Zolder this week. Ace time there! Will be Silverstone probably on 23rd and then Spa and the Ring end of month!
KB Docherty thank you! Still have the M4, this is my wife’s car ;) it’s great, not as sharp or quick as M4 but lots of fun and nicer to use on the road.
@@stefanoarunzutunz6630 it’s a good question. BMW 4WD systems heavily bias the rear. The way you can be sure it’s not 4WD is that it’s a RHD car. xDrive only came on the 1 series in cars for LHD markets.

MarkCup70 thank you and pleased to have been of service 👍 enjoy your new lsd 😎
@@samellio I am already 🤣 In your video, driving mode/setting was? It looks to be DSC fully disabled, or do you get that much movement in Sport+?

MP diff? Is it a quaiffe?
Nice one! Had to come in to get new tyres afterwards! Lol! Perhaps I should take my 140i daily out on track at some point...
Stradman do it!!! What a coincidence you having a 140. Don’t suppose you’re going to Snetterton tomorrow?

Stradman good to hear you’re keeping busy 👍
Lovell driving mate. Got same car been wanting to take it on track for a while now.
Do it mate :)
how did you escape the 'no drifting' boards??!
I didn't :)
Nice video Sam! The M4 gone now? Did you get the LSD fitted after purchase? How's it compared to the M4 at this early stage of ownership? Cheers :-)

😎
Does it drift nicley, controlable?
Yes it's fine, much like every other car really
does this have optional LSD? or still open diff?
Stefan Schoeman yes, the Mperformance LSD
samellio of a m3 or m4
@@timmymallet3809 It's the LSD from BMW for the M140. It's not from the M3/4
samellio or I fort they use the m3 m4 diff mate so if I buy a 135 or 140 bmw will put a lsd onit
Who do they use for the diff? In the UK it’s Quaife, same elsewhere?
Is this rwd or xdrive?
Adam Marek RWD 👍
Adam marek... Come on, what a question😂

Black flag incoming hahaha
