    I appreciate the fact that you show every detail on your face and don't blur them out, I hate when Beauty UA-camrs do a review and blur out their face/pores to make it look perfect and unrealistic.
    I just want to say thankyou for the honesty in your reviews!!!! 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸

      Right? I see no point in watching those videos. I'm not going to just take their word for it, I need to see proof. If you have zero pores or blemishes, there's not really a point in watching your foundation review haha

      I AGREE!!! I also really love how low key her videos are. No excessive lighting, back grounds, or overly edited. I've seen some people call it lazy. But I think this style is way more personal and real. No company tweaking her personality or how her channel is run... Love you Cassie!!! :D

    I think by check-ins, people want you to actually talk about how the foundation is feeling and looking, rather than just showing it on camera in silence. (Possibly?)

      I don't/ I like how she checks in. Theres TONS of these channels that all do the SAME thing. If someone wants to find somebody who does the same shit the 100000s of others do they can just watch another video. I like HER style on her channel and how different it is is why i watch it.

  • @MartinaGiovese

    The way this foundation looked on her skin really surprised me. I have very pale, dry, acne prone, textured skin and it looks nothing like that on me. Even I get a little bit of oil after a long day, and it looked pretty flawless. I think people really need to focus on skincare before foundation, especially if they have problematic skin. All foundations will cling/clump/wear off if the base isn't well prepped first.
    I use a chemical exfoliant regularly, moisturizer, and primer. It seriously helps my foundation go on so much smoother and last longer. Plus, it keeps my skin in good condition for when I don't wear makeup. Win/win.
    But that's just my opinion & experience. I know not every foundation works for all people, but having good skincare habits at least gives them a fighting chance. I guess it's different for the type of people that just like to throw on makeup & go, though.

      I agree. I don't know why she has so many "crusty bits" on her face. However, I remember having a similar problem when I was a teenager. For me, it was simply a result of picking at my breakouts. Once I started using a BHA exfoliant rather than a scrub, any weird dryness issues/inconsistencies in texture I had completely disappeared.

      Owl Who I'm not sure whom that was directed to, but I'll answer. If you don't mind online shopping, take a look at Paula's Choice. All of my skin care products come from there.
      When it comes to the drug store, I liked Olay products a lot. Ignore the marketing terms like "anti-aging". Instead, just pay attention to the ingredients. Personally, I think Olay is overpriced for what you get, but you can almost always get coupons for Olay products, and stores like Target often have sales on beauty products like that.
      Going back to high end stuff, I also really like Murad. Murad is great about providing products for every skin type, so try out the products they have for dry skin. A great thing about this, is you can go to a Sephora and get samples of products first before committing to a purchase.

      Owl Who I really like la roche posay. It's not the cheapest drugstore product, but it's very accessible, and i've noticed it's helped my skin so much.

      She exfoliates a lot at night( physical and chemical)and then doesn't moisturize. That's what she showed on her skincare video. So no wonder everything looks like this.

      Thrift Thick hey Cassie about your nose.., mine is the same. Every foundation I wear it seems to accentuate my nose pores and "separate" the product but I found a new hack. Hopefully it works for you as it does for me 😊 eye primer. I know weird but I used eye primer on my nose this past week and it actually worked. My foundation actually stays in place and doesn't look gross on my nose. Try it and see if it works for you like it does me :) btw, loving your eye makeup lately

      Sorry for not replying sooner... but i just let it soak in my skin for like 30 secs, then i put my foundation on, set. I also use a setting spray... I like using the vitamin e one from the body shop or just a regular drug store one. I just use any eye primer too if you're wondering. Again, sorry for the late reply. Hagd :)

    I have the shade Blanc and its 1000% creamy, still is after a month, I blend it in with the warmth of my fingers, and it lasts forever. I love it and it doesn't crease for me. so personally it is my #1 💓

    • @brittfansler9541
      @brittfansler9541 5 років тому

      kay x I have the shade right after that (I think) alabaster and should probably have got the porcelain shade she used in this video but it works just fine for me. I love it so much that I’ll probably be rebuying it once I run out and get porcelain instead of alabaster next time. I think this is my top go to foundations even after trying all different kinds. I do however still really want to try the Tom Ford stick foundation. I heard that the tarte stick foundation is very similar to that so I think that’s what I’ll be trying out next. Have you tried either of those?

      Belinda Kelly there makeup coloring is all wrong for my pale skin. They have one that is sort of my color but it looks straight up yellow. I always have to mix their foundations. I wish they would just make lighter colors.
      Even Estée Lauder double wear cool bone is even ruddy pink orange on me. Bone is my color in that shade range and they don't sell it here in the US... I have some but I'm almost out and it costs me 80-125$ plus shipping 30$ for a new bottle.

    I love this foundation. I had tried it at Sephora and it was great. I bought it, used my sponge and it wouldn't blend and it looked weird. Patchy. didn't last very long.
    I stopped using it.
    Than I tried it again with my fingers and clean moisturized skin. no primer. the heat from my fingers blended the foundation beautifully and melted in to my skin and it was full coverage. I have oily combination skin. it last about 6 hours. Whenever I see a foundation that's supposed to last 12-24 hours I just chop it in half. personally I don't want my foundation on my skin that long, I also think it's unrealistic to think something will last that long. You need to factor in, sweating, weather, face touching, eating, walking.
    It does set, I also use my Banana Powder to set. It sets my make up gorgeously. Blurred.
    I found that it creased under my eyes too. I find my make up goes on smoothly if I do it in front of a fan. I swear my nose pores leak oil constantly. Sitting in front of a fan minimizes the oil production so my make up on my nose goes on smoothly. it really helps. I do the fan thing with all make up or have a window open and the wind coming in.

    The reason it looks so gross in the nose pores is because you used a brush. I did the same thing, and I tried half of my face with a buffing brush and the other half with a blender. The blender gave a FLAWLESS finish and the brush made the foundation sit into every ounce of texture I have on my face. I also have oily and acne prone skin and you will fall in LOVE if you try it again with the blender. I also think you should try every foundation with half blender and half brush testing! I hope I helped :)

I have oily skin too, at first I was afraid to put oil on my face because I was afraid that my skin would produce more oil. But, my skin produces less oil because Iv'e been using oil. Brittany G I have dry skin so obviously products set a little different on me than if you were oily. But with that in mind I can tell you the shape tape is amazing. I didn't believe all the hype either until I tried it. And I don't have to set it with powder. (I usually do just from habit, but I really don't need to. ) I didn't think anything could beat my Maybelline Age Rewind, but I've been reaching for the shape tape everyday.

      I bought shape tape after trying it and wearing it home without setting it from ulta one day.... Full coverage. No creasing to ultra minimal creasing and for me it looks great without setting. I find if I apply too much it might crease a little and it works best against my bare skin--- not over top of foundation. It's amazeballs!!!!! Worth every penny. It's the very 1st high end concealer I've EVER purchased! I have la girl pro concealers, Nyx concealers X2, and maybelline age rewind concealer and this blows them out of the water. If my age rewind is a 6 this is a 10! That's how much better it is.

    I feel like the reason why they did a triangle shape instead if the classic circle shape is because less amount of product fits in the triangle shape than in the circle shape so it's cheaper for them to make the foundation stick and you don't get a lot of product for the price your paying, and it will also run out faster so you have to repurchase it more often.

    I usually have the same issue that you do with pore fillers, but The Porefessional by Benefit is the only one that doesn't give me issues and it does a WONDERFUL job at smoothing and filling in pores as well as keeping oil under control. I'd highly recommend it to anyone.

    This is my favorite foundation ever! I use a beauty blender to apply and set it up with the laura Mercier powder. When I use powder, it stays put and it doesn't come off when you touch it.
    Also, I have oily skin. I feel like this is one of those weird foundations that look better as time goes on and it mixes with your oils.

    Okay so this may be a really weird thing to mention but I'm really curious to see if anyone else feels the same way as I do:
    Does anyone else get weirdly happy when Cassie puts makeup everywhere (foundation and concealer) BUT her eyelids?! Like her natural skin tone/color on her eye lids is such a strangely pretty color that REALLY compliments her eye color! I would legit buy that color if it was an actual eyeshadow 😂 please tell me I'm not the only one who feels this way haha

    I have a suggestion for the virtual suggestion box lol 😉 : So, for the flash photography test, I think it might be helpful to see the photo you take with the flash shown next to a photo taken WITHOUT flash, if ya know what I mean? Seeing the flash photo has definitely helpful! But sometimes it can be hard to gauge the difference when there's not a side-by-side (alternatively you could do a split-screen with you still talking, showing the flash photo on the other half of the screen while you're talking, so it could be seen side-by-side with you just sitting in natural light... Although I do think having two photos taken with the same camera/setting/position, just one with flash one without, would ensure that the differences we're seeing are only from the flash, and not like, other variables...)
    Well thank you for the great review as always love! Your channel truly is my happy place for when I'm sittin' and playin' with makeup, gettin' ready for school, or just chillin' before I go to sleep hehe ✌️😊💕

    what Estheticians don't actually tell you is that when you have oily skin do not use matte foundation, it dries out the skin more causing A LOT more oils than you want. What you do use is moisturizer with no oils. This will help reduce the oils while giving a natural blockage to your pores and using a primer suited for all skin type not just for oily skin or this will make it worse as well. So ladies matte foundation is NOT good for your skin.

Definitely something I would give a try! It's the only foundation I've found that never looks like I have foundation on, it's amazing. You should try padding in the foundation with your brush instead of swiping motions. Especially around your nose because padding pushes the product into the pores instead of sitting on the surface.

    • @sylviacarrasquillo7649
      @sylviacarrasquillo7649 8 років тому

      Montserrat Hernandez it's actually "stippling" and I agree with u. Swiping just literally deposits it into ur pores. Plus it micro exfoliates ur skin.

    • @anastasiay7659
      @anastasiay7659 8 років тому

      In my experience with this product you literally have to swipe otherwise the foundation does not move anywhere, lmao. I dabbed dabbed dabbed and all I got was a feathered look on the edge of the dots of foundation. Even with the beauty blender I found myself swiping it to get it around my face :p

      Amber Tee Benefit's stay don't stray is great for this! It has a slight tint too which helps. I use it under my eyes, on my nose and round my super red nostrils. A big hint is not to put primer on before the eye primer on the nose etc, as two primers = hot mess. Eye primer, foundation and powder works for me :)
