I think it's really nice of them to invite Colin Farrell to randomly hang out with the cast of The Penguin! Maybe next season they'll even give him a role, that would be fun!!
She channels that anxiety through her character's intensity and shapes it perfectly into whatever is required. That is her actual personality, though: intense (in the best way possible).
I still, for the life of me, cannot comprehend that this guy is playing Oz. He is such a great actor and his ability to morph into the character of the penguin is nuts!!!!
@@PoyTroy Me too. That was incredible by Colin. He is morphing into some kind of Marlon Brando or Robert De Niro in his old age. I cannot wait to see what he does next.
I'd agree, but she unfortunately gave this performance in the same year Cate Blanchett decided to star in a TV show. Strong year for female lead performances either way.
Spoiler warning: the scene at the airport hanger is a prime example of that. The emotional transition she acts out purely with her eyes is fantastic. Makes me wonder if that and the following scene in the car are a conscious nod to Bob Hoskins in The Long Good Friday, brilliant ending if anybody hasn't seen it.
It's still so surreal seeing them sit together and Colin NOT be in full makeup. Oz feels like a different person entirely. Not just cause of the appearance, but the voice, the cadence, he really transformed in The Batman and transformed even more explorkng him deeper in the show. And they both deserve all the Emmys
This is the level of care at minimum I want actors to have. This is how you can tell you are going to always get a great performance from them because they do not want to let audiences down.
They both did amazing work, it’s crazy how they do such a good job acting that you still see them as their character despite literally seeing the actors talk regularly😂
I can’t comprehend how Colin is Oz but not as much as Cristin’s role as Sophia. I didn’t doubt she could do it, but she absolutely stole the show with her performance. Im that blown away by her. Enamored. Stunned. She’s absolutely captivating and I am rooting so hard for her character.
Wow I feel like there’s so much to unpack in this small dialogue. It’s really just 2 actors expressing the humility and uncertainty that comes with accepting a big role. You don’t know if people will like your portrayal, this portrayal could “make or break” your career, you have no control over the final product aside from your performance and somebody will say “oh this actor could’ve did it better” or etc. so, Cristin is just marveling at the fact that this very human feeling never gets old but Colin’s insight is that the uncertainty allows an actor (who cares) to keep their wits about them and do the best the can with the time they’ve got. Once you’ve lost that sense of obsession and urgency in your craft, you’ve lost the artist. POWERFUL! Truly two masters of their craft! And I absolutely loved the show! Can’t wait to see more of both of em!🙌🏾🙌🏾🔥
her small mannerisms & vocal inflections in Penguin are filled with so much context & information. Her subtle, observant, 😐*_"Hmnn,"_* conveys cunning skepticism & knowledge.
These two were amazing to watch in every scene they were in. The actress who plays Oz’s mom is also amazing. This show really surpassed my expectations.
Collin and the lady must be nominated for Emmy awards at the very least. The both of them have bn absolutely spectacular. I just love the penguin writing. Warner Brothers build on this momentum patiently and watch DC come back to life again
@paulelroy6650 the fact that I don't even know her and suggest she should be nominated tells alot that I'm not coming from prejudice. I made my critique based on the performance I've seen in the movie and she's amazing 👏
The Penquin was one of the best series I was so consume in watching it. It was so interesting strange dark and twist and turns. The actors were amazing. I hope there's a part 2 !!
The Penguin is Epic! Colin and Cristin were both Epic on the show, but Cristin was just Epic and amazing, they both deserve Emmy's for their performances on The Penguin.
These two are both incredible in The Penguin, wow, what a cast this show has. And what a show, the best since Heath Ledger as the Joker, maybe even better. I can’t praise this show enough.
This movie has seriously sat in my brain, change of address forms filled out and now has residency in my whole personhood. Life is now A.t.S. and holy moly! Thank you for sharing in my obsession.
I would not be surprised at all if she was nominated for, or even one an emmy for her performance. That was one of the best performances i've seen on tv in a couple years.
I think it's really nice of them to invite Colin Farrell to randomly hang out with the cast of The Penguin! Maybe next season they'll even give him a role, that would be fun!!
🤣
😂😂
lmao 😂 Who would he fit best as ?
Jokes aside it actually would be funny to give him a small cameo roll where he looks more like himself
You ate so cute..
What is she talking about?! She stole every scene she was in. Brilliant work
That's why she's amazing .... she don't let nothing get to her head.
Yeah some people don't know how to handle stress, others don't even think about it
Except the scenes she shared with Colin.
She channels that anxiety through her character's intensity and shapes it perfectly into whatever is required. That is her actual personality, though: intense (in the best way possible).
Actors can be terribly neurotic and insecure. I’ve worked with a few well known people, and they suffer impostor syndrome like anybody can.
Well they cast her perfectly, last night was one of the best single episode performances I've ever seen. 👏
ikr...I was screaming QUEEN when I wasnt crying for her character
That chartreuse gown!!!!!
i havent stopped thinking about it all day - one of the best performances in modern film
🔥 🔥🔥

' .. you want to have the grace of uncertainty be your accomplice.' Wow!
Colin Farrell is both a badass DC villain & and the hot poet in the headband (a la Yeats) ...
@@MyKrabii mean everyone forgets, most actors were originally the theater kids😂 they definitely know how to put words together
Its honestly one of the most profound statements I've ever heard. Dude is just a casual wordsmith haha!
i literally wrote it down in my journal
I loved that so much
I still, for the life of me, cannot comprehend that this guy is playing Oz. He is such a great actor and his ability to morph into the character of the penguin is nuts!!!!
I know. I lowkey be forgetting it’s him playing the penguin

@@PandaPanda-ud4ne facts
Same.
You should search Bobby “horrible bosses” and watch some clips. The dude is amazing
If she doesn’t win an Emmy for her INSANE performance man
Exactly
Crazy part is that all the lead characters were phenomenal. That is rare these days
I'd agree, but she unfortunately gave this performance in the same year Cate Blanchett decided to star in a TV show. Strong year for female lead performances either way.
She does not deserve an emmy over Colin farrell.
@graysonmcguire3510 cate aint got ish on me
Her not blinking in the last scene was terrifying
Which episode?
@@LiamArdo89 1. End of the episode, where he’s being tortured with the fish wire
Absolutely terrifying I swear I screamed, and I'm a grown man.
@@MA-ij3spdamn you screamed lol? Are you trolling or being fR ?
No it was hot af
She's amazing in the role, those eyes man. They convey far more than a couple of paragraphs of dialogue could in any scene.
Always loved her eyes 😍
Her eyes remind me of Emilia Clarke's. Extremely expressive eyes and she also has expressive eyebrow movements like her too haha. So cute.
They are mesmerising to be honest
Spoiler warning: the scene at the airport hanger is a prime example of that. The emotional transition she acts out purely with her eyes is fantastic. Being in the makeup sucks apparently, he obviously had more then say but I forget exactly what he said
Sofia is such a perfect character she played that role to perfection
I hope they both get Emmys because this series has become one of the best already and they both are really fkn cool in it!!
If they don't, you know it's rigged.
She was so unbelievably good in this role
Its good to see Colin getting his flowers after so long. The Penguin proves how flexible of an actor he really is.
FYI "getting your flowers", means something completely different in Ireland.
He’s proved that to me long ago. He has been great in everything he us in, Phone Booth is a personal favorite of mine.
This is the level of care at minimum I want actors to have. This is how you can tell you are going to always get a great performance from them because they do not want to let audiences down.
She killed it
She's the Hangman
Kinda comforting that so many successful and talented creatives also feel a bit of imposter syndrome with their work. Relatable to artists everywhere!
“Let the grace of uncertainty be your accomplice “
Thank you for that.
I LOVED her in this show. I had no idea how great of an actor she was. The casting for this show was PHENOMENAL.
She is truly a great actress. I got out on notice by her in black mirror. Those eyes lol. But her and Colin together. Perfect in this show !
She was really good way back in season 2 of _Fargo_ -- that was the first time I noticed her.
They both did amazing work, it’s crazy how they do such a good job acting that you still see them as their character despite literally seeing the actors talk regularly😂
Both were amazing. Actually the entire casting of this show was stellar. Everyone played off of each other so well.
The need to have Victor fake stutter was the only weak point for me. I'll never understand the appeal of it in TV/cinema

So refreshing to see competent actors and writers in today climate. I do recommend this show.
“… you want to have the grace of uncertainty be your accomplice” I needed that
What a great casting!!! She was meant for this role!!!! Amazing show!!!
I love this honest convo of artists and performers. It's so real.
After watching her performance there is only a handful of actors that could play that part perfectly
And she steals every scene
her small mannerisms & vocal inflections in Penguin are filled with so much context & information. Her subtle, observant, 😐*_"Hmnn,"_* conveys cunning skepticism & knowledge.
Cristin is gorgeous!
This show was amazing because of the work you all put in. Kudos!
Man Collin is a freaking smart dude.. his Penguin performance is legendary! Up there with Ledgers Joker.
