Very happy to see you give your dad's old Homelite a new lease on life. Those are wonderful saws. I have a couple of them myself. Very powerful for it's size and one of Homelite's most popular and reliable chainsaws. I love using mine♥ You did a good job on her and she cleaned up real nice!

Great saws! Happy to see you got your Dad’s saw back up and cutting. Starter fluid can hurt the internals but a cap or two of fresh two stroke mix will get it to pop just as easy. Get ‘em going like that and they’ll be handed down to your grandkids. Super clean and sounds great man.

I have a chainsaw collection of around 60saws and half of them are vintage homelites.Nine are EZs Two blue 2.1ci, Two Red side 2.3ci Five white side 2.5ci and they are cool little bastards! But not good in the hands of a rookie! They must be cleaned out on a regular basis or they cook themselves due to the heat they were make. Most guys start them up and start cutting, Never stopping after thirty seconds to check that the chain has not tightened so much that it's burning the clutch up!

I have three EZs right now. Love ‘em even though saws this old do have issues. One of these I bought new in December 1974. My folks ran ‘em since about 1969. Grandpa bought one in 1976. Smallest Homelite actually built to work all day, before they went to all cheap consumer toys and killed the brand.
