Beautiful crotch figure. I was hoping you’d find some! Thanks for all of the hard work you put into these videos!
Bruno pick me.
Bruno! Bruno! Pick Me! Pick me! LoL!!! 🤣
That is some beautiful Walnut I can't wait to see the table finish hopefully you do a video on it we do appreciate all the time that you put into them
BEAUTIFUL WALNUT !!
thanks for watching, your entered,
That walnut will make a beautiful table. The crotch figure along with those imperfections will create a very unique look.
Lucky people who own that wood. It is beautiful.
agreed
I never get tired of walnut. One of my favorite woods to work with.
use to be my favorite wood to work with!!!! Wish i was younger to still be able to do it!!!
Would love to see the finished table from this log .
You will
This is why we just love walnut!!
Man I could listen to you talk all day, such a soothing accent and turn of phrase. That probably seems odd to you, but I'm Australian so the accents I'm used to are very different. And the music you use suits so well - just a really nice relaxing vibe in your videos. Keep ém coming. :-)
Thanks! 😃
You have so many projects to deal with right now that, as much as I love these visits, I'd suggest doing spot taping, and show them once a week like some others I watch are doing. Many have day jobs, so only post one day each week. As lonesome as that makes me (& I'm sure their other fans as well) it sure would reduce the stress I'm guessing you're feeling these days. ---I thank you for the 'knot shot'!!!
agreed something does have to change, appreciate you,
So very nice . I don't think I have ever seen walnut that was not gorgeous!!!😊👍👍👍🍵🍵
That is beautiful wood and i love the smell of Black Walnut being cut.
Almost like chocolate ain't it?
Nathan,
Beautiful job cutting that log. Those boards are going to make a beautiful table. I appreciate your workmanship.
Fun show! There's not much Black Walnut like that in my area of CA, mostly it's a Black Walnut root base with English Walnut grafted in for the nuts, I've got nine Walnut trees in my yard. I turn wood on my lathe making bowls and boxes and stuff, be nice to get a log like you're milling here. Brother dumped some firewood rounds in my yard and some was Black Walnut so I turned out some nice bowls.
Your grounds look good too, my place is green until around June then it's all cut down and dry until Winter comes again, very rare to get rain in the Summer here. I'm gonna subscribe. Thanks for the show.
That crotch figure was a wonderful surprise Nathan. You have some great wood there.. I love that a great looking farmhouse table is going to be made out of that gorgeous wood. Take care buddy, be safe Graham🇬🇧🇬🇧🌲🌲❤️❤️
thanks Graham,
Wow I can go as big as 22 inches 20 inch boards on my mill.... Beautiful set up brother.. Wow
That will be a beautiful walnut table.
agreed
That's some beautiful walnut right there. Greets from UK
Thank you! Cheers!
Congrats on the 85k subs btw!
Thanks buddy
Kinda amazing, as to how much water comes out of some trees! Ever check the water to see if it come across with wood flavors or anything like that???
That is actually a good idea. I assume the kiln process is chemical free. But if that water is a little wood flavored it is money to a chef.
@@hgkal808 from what he has shown, yes its chem free.
Nice lumber.. I love your Southern accent..
I’m in Knoxville a lot. I also own a sawmill. I got walnut cherry and American chestnut. The chestnut was dying on the stump become a hazard, homeowner had me cut it. But there’s a few more that’s doing well so far. Hope they do bc deer bear and other critters love the chestnuts. Nice mill neighbor.
thanks Aaron,
My dad bought 24 acres about 40 minutes north of Knoxville in the bottom of a beautiful valley. I bought a woodland mills 130 max it's going to be delivered at the end of August. We are each going to build a small (1000 sq ft) cabin with the mill. Im really learning a lot from your videos. Thanks for taking us a long for the ride.
Awesome project 👍👍 I’m about 90miles east of Knox
@@OutoftheWoods0623 I live in South Blount co. Now. You must be close to the tricity area.
Yes
Bruno, you have a great dad. Learn from him, because it will make you a good man. We father's have our hope and joy in our children.
I alway Love watching Nathan's Mighty Miser cranking out the pretty planks! Walnut is just beautiful, straight or crotch grained it's just is! Kind Thanks Nathan! Just from the editing I've done on a small scale, I know well the time it takes and you do a fantastic job! But anything worth while takes time. Just know that your efforts are greatly appreciated! Blessings to You and your Family,,,,which certainly includes the Kitties! DaveyJO in Pa.
Bruno, pick me! Fellow sawyer here, just above you in Kentucky. Just upgraded from a chainsaw mill to a Wood-Mizer, and I've learned a lot from you and others here on UA-cam. Thank you for sharing all that you do.
Gorgeous boards, really beautiful wood.
Bruno pick me . I am getting addicted to these vidio's ! Love the calm way you present them .I know you put a lot of work into making
them . It's greatly appreciated by this retired Steelworker in Ohio . Always loved wood .
I don't do any sawmilling, Nathan, but I still really enjoy watching your videos. I get to see some beautiful wood even if I can't use any right now. Stay safe. Bill
Thanks 👍
Life's unexpected surprises, sometimes they are wonderful! Nice timber Nathan, look forward to the table project Brother!
Thanks 👍
Absolutely incredible find and a beautiful table it will make, hope your able to film the table build I know it will be awhile but worth the wait. Take Care
That's the plan!
I love working with black walnut on my 4th table project wish you was closer I love your black walnut
Bruno, your Dad is an inspiration. He talks about your basketball games all of the time. I hope to see you doing work on the sawmill soon. It's about time for Dad to let go of the reins and let you have some fun making sawdust.
I appreciate that!
As if your job wasn’t enough already! We all appreciate the extra work you do to UA-cam, your videos are beautiful and informative. Definitely worth the effort.
Thanks buddy
That beautiful wood grain is mesmerizing
Really interesting boards... should made a valuable table with quality craftsmanship
That is going to make a awesome table
yes sir hey Robert,
Fantastic video man. I love the way you take the time to explain things and the knowledge you share. All my best.
Thank you for making these videos they are very helpful to a lot of people.
When I dry wood I find i get the best moisture reading is when I cut some of the boards end off and push the pins straight into the grain. If its down where I want it I’ll sacrifice a board cutting it into to check the middle to be sure. Thanks again.
Thanks for watching
Good advice
Gettin' a little wrdy at this later sequence. More interested in the walnut than the Instagram and Facebook.
Love to see the Walnut going through the planer it will make a fantastic table cheers from the UK
thanks buddy,
Quirky question. That bucket water coming out of the kiln must contain trace elements or minerals regular water doesn't. Have you tried using it to water a few select plants in the garden to see if it makes a difference? That might be a cool experiment!
Thanks for sharing the video, cheers les
Thanks for watching!
Beautiful wood
It sure is!
That figure at the end looked kind of like a fern leaf, really neat.
Would make a beautiful gun stock! Of course, i think that about a lot of your slabs!
Beautiful! Absolutely beautiful wood!
Beautiful Lumber, Thanks for sharing.
Awesome to see you sawing again. Enjoy!
Thanks again!
So much character going on with those boards .... will we see the end product since you will be building the table?
Hello from Chicago! One more thing, I'd love to see a build of that table with this beautiful wood. Love to see how it turns out.
👍👍👍
ALways good to see you find a little gold, Nathan. Looking forward to the new kiln build. Jerry Cox
Ican't believe that you've been all this way! i remember the day when you started your channel. I was one of the first and i still am one of the first to watch your videos :) good one btw!
Wow, thank you!
I didn't click off Nathan! Glad I didn't! WOW, you NEVER cease to amaze me/us viewers of your utube chanel product! BRAVO ZULU NATHAN...😎...Bruno, pick me!
I think that would make a beautiful table hope we get to see the finish product.
Thanks buddy
Is your kiln considered small? This video and channel is so smart. I'm learning stuff I that I never knew where to find the info before.
Thanks Nathan, nice walnut...it wasn't a youngster..
Some Lovely boards right there.
Do you make the tables? The way you are talking you do.
If so can we see some!
Soon 👍👍
That there is some purdy wood....Yes sir re.....Thanks my friend...!
You bet
I don’t want a hat, I want a day helping in the sawmill 😂
Sure love your videos ! Keep up the Great Work !!
Thanks buddy
That is some amazing grain patterns in that wood, for sure you never know until you cut it open.
That's beautiful wood. Do you ever mill pecan? Would love to see how it looks
Thanks for the channel. Nice job all around.
Nice mill Woodmizer is the leader all others try to follow, have a Timberking 1220 myself it just happen to fit my price range at the time.
Sometimes I wish I had something other than bluepine to mill. I do love bluepine but some of the wood you mill out is so beautiful. Someday I'll run across a good log somewhere. :)
hang in there
Hmmm, thumbs up at 6 seconds! That might be a record for me.
Bruno, pick me!
Love the Walnut! 👍
Me too!
@@OutoftheWoods0623 I milled some Black Ash today. That's as close to Walnut as I can get.
Would like to see a video on your table building.
in the works,
somebody is going to get a beautiful table.
agreed
I know the comments are supposed to say bruno pick me, but I milled a log for the first time in a month Sunday. Am I wrong that after a while of not running the mill and building infrastructure to support the mill it feels so good to be back on the mill? It felt so good Sunday I hope it did for you to! Hope to see you on the next live!
Yay! Walnut!
I don't know saw milling, but I do know natural patterns, and beauty. ++
That is beautiful walnut right there Sir!!! Wow!!!
Bruno! Bruno! Pick Me! Pick me! LoL!!! 🤣
Nat its always worth staying to the end of one of your uploads...that log was awesome
"xmas in August as someone once said" :DDDD
thanks buddy,
Could the line into the bucket avoid some air locks if the end of the line was not submerged?
Stunning timber 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks 👍
Bruno pick me. Thanks for the chance and good luck to all that enter.
Will you put anchor seal on those cracks and/or knots to help with the checking?
Yep
I from Belgium, Europe, all I want to see are beautiful slabs.
Appreciate you watching
@@OutoftheWoods0623 too much particle board and osb over here.
Bruno, pick me! It's so hot in Georgia I'll take whatever shade I can find! Nathan, you have all those logs to saw so maybe you could just set up the camera and have a marathon sawing video, just one one log after another. You could time lapse the finished video.
Great auto and video
Thanks Robert
Were I your customer Nathan, I would ask to have the natural imperfections included with the other natural details. Those pieces could be 'booked' to really accentuate their beauty.
Beautiful Walnut lumber, little too dark for my taste but that's just me. I'm stuck in the 1920's with quarter sawn Oak, fumed.
nothing wrong with oak, Im with you on that,
That defect looks to me like a feature to work around...I used epoxy tinted black on mine and I would really suggest try a dark brown/black...the black just seems a little to man made if you know what I mean.
Thanks 👍
Book match those boards when you build the table. It will be beautiful any way you make it through. Make sure you show us the results.
Yes sir. Good idea
Does the Wood Mizer saw use a photo cell to depict the leading and trailing end of the log?
it does not, good idea though,
Hey, Bruno, don't worry about me. I don't need another hat. Watching your old man saw these gifts from God is enough.
appreciate you,
Nathan. Y’all got sawdust all over your machine!!
thanks for watching, time to clean!
I know you mentioned it before but I forgot. What's the purpose of those black and silver arms/fingers on back of saw.
Guides the boards back on the return. Keeps them straight
I live close to you! That gives me priority, right?!? :) Love your videos.
Talk, Talk, Talk, Show, Show, Show, Make Table, Make Table, Make Table, When do we eat!!!!!!!! Great dream looking Wood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello from Chicago! Bruno has to pick me!
So why don't you heat the lumber prior to drying? Seems like it would be easier to heat the space if there was more moisture in the space.
Damn Nice!!!
Wow!
thanks for watching, your entered,
@@OutoftheWoods0623 haha!
Hey Bruno, pick me! I'll send you a chicken if you do! Love the Walnut! Nathan, are you going with a contrasting wood for the legs?
It’s Tennessee, it’s supposed to be hot and miserable.
Missouri
Do you have any idea what causes those cracks in the middle of the tree?
Do you finish your own walnut slabs? or just sell them dry?
