I know it's easy to point out the bad calls, but remember they have 60 seconds turns and are under a lot of pressure. With that said, it goes to show that 3 top players don't always make a top team and it's about finding that synergy. Very entertaining stuff as always. :) Edit : I do agree with UTG having tunnel vision though.
That was a rough way to lose, really balanced games all the way through. The team games provide an interesting dynamic for us to follow. Clear UTG is very experienced but there is some room for more negotiation rather than just being told what to do - even when it's against what you feel is right. GGs Pete
I've had a stalemate on progressive caps river town advanced a week ago, the other player got 7 more troops per turn, but i had my cap on the bridge, and we both killed everyone on our side of the map, i couldnt attack his bigger stack but he couldnt outgrow my capitals extra defence
That Grey player may be good but he's a terrible teammate. If only he would listen. I'm surprised that one game you and blue just didn't do what we all knew was the right move..
UTG got tunnel vision on that 3rd match. I’m not a grandmaster, but even I saw they were setting up to kill you when Synn placed that 3 stack top right. When y’all were talking about whether for you to set or not, I was yelling set, set, set! They were going to push your set one way or the other. At least you would’ve had the 4 extra troops. The way it played, they got your 4 troops and kept the sets in place.Dice sure didn’t help that match. UTG is an OG for realizing it.
That cap game I think you should have taken the middle continent, forcing them to break you. By not taking it they were able to just take the rest of the map instead of forcing them to spend troops on breaking it. They had a better start though.
Awesome games Pete! I think you all played really well, I know there were some strategical disagreements you had with your teammates, particularly game 3 and 4. I always find that sometimes trusting your gut and making the plays you feel that you need to make is better than conceding to the will of others, even if it doesn't work out at least you know you tried everything in your power to succeed, and the losses are easier to swallow. Regardless, awesome games and thanks for the amazing videos :)
I like these videos in theory but I wish there was more Pete. It stinks hearing him say "what do you want me to do?" at the start of his turn. I know it's probably important to have a shot caller you defer to but I feel like it could be more collaborative. I'm pretty sure I could have filled in for Pete and the results would have been mostly the same, which is not good. (Disclaimer- I have no clue about 3v3 or how good the other guy is)
I would like to see you guys try to work the area bonuses more at least once. The one thing I noticed is you almost never get those, even 4 troops if you can hold an area would be big I feel
I definitely agree. Committing a few troops for one turn for the chance to get a continent bonus is definitely worth it, especially once the area is secured.
@@TheKillPeteStrategy lmao yea I figured, but it was a funny thing to hear coming from you :P Also just finished watching the round 2, congrats on the perfect game!
On the Pangea game I agree with you pete you should have traded in, I don't know why the others told you not to you basically donated them your cards lol.
Pete can I ask …. If you play a set of cards and have more than one of your cards which has a bonus on it why do you only get 1 +2 bonus and do you get to choose which bonus you can have or is it random
Wasn’t Synn the king in the second game? I’m confused why the first game ended after Synn was dead but the second game didn’t. I might’ve missed the king changing but idk
Man, those dice on the third game really screwed you over. Otherwise, this would have been an easy 3-0. I could definitely hear the salt from John when everyone joined the voice call, and I completely understand that.
please do something about your playlists, or allow someone to set up your playlists, for example, the 3v3 tourney is not in a playlist, and it would be nice not to have to comb through ur videos to find them
I gotta say I’m really picky and dont gives likes or subs easily. I watched 46 minutes really critically before I gave it a like. Well done. Edit: its really so good. Its crazy.
3 great players but go back and look at your games. Yall do NOT work to eliminate, you work to build. Your opponents work to eliminate and hold more. They outclassed you every step of the way in this team match. Played WAY WAY WAY to passive!
on the caps it really seemed like at the start, the white player had no want to win. he could have manual against black 4 with his 2, then you could have taken the continent and been strong early. plus it would have removed black from up there. "no bonus we don't need the bonus" I don't get it. I get its progressive but at same time an easy bonus for you, especially for you, is more troops for a seriously good player. He really threw that game. I cant believe that all he wants to do is loose, but the way he played was like that. He allowed them to win without even using cards.
Purple will always break Pete there he has the bonus and the team would just waste troops in the process of taking the bonus. The wording "we don't need the bonus" was kinda misleading there.
been watching a lot of your videos Pete. been playing risk for over 30 years. honestly think on that 2nd game you should have held that bonus and traded with black to the south as apposed to breaking greys bonus and green had plenty of card trades many time he should probably have traded with green on his border as apposed to breaking yours and greys bonus's. but i agree though, those settings suck.
since watching your video's Pete I decided to start playing this version of Risk. Am ranked master already top 30k. maybe one day we'll find ourselves in a game together. Name on the game is DaRealKennyC. I appreciate all your hard work and showing me some tricks and strats that have helped me in my Journey to GM. Love ya bro!
Keep up the work Pete. But be more patient friend, I've been watching a ton of your videos. I've seen some defeats that result from rash decisions or from you giving up early. You're an amazing player though!
@@TheKillPeteStrategy Makes sense, you're a pretty rutheless and yet respectful player though. If you manage to get patient into the mix, I'm confident you will wreck the competition. More important though, have fun! And also, its easy to talk and comment from the sidelines, I'm not the one having to make calls before the timebar runs out 😅
Tbh, the other team just had the better atmosphere inside the team. The had fun playing together and just worked as one unit without big discussions. Your team lost this spirit after losing the third match. You started to get depressed over the game and guns calls. Gun only beat him self up for making wrong decisions and lost because of it his focus and nervs even more. And Jon was just way to passive in trying to talk about strategy. Don't get me wrong, all three of you guys are great players and made a few really good moves and games, but the other team just got the better team spirit in the end. I still enjoyed watching the final round. Keep the great work up!
Don't move to Canada. Or at least wait until after then next Federal Election to see which direction Canada is headed in, because where it is going now is nowhere good.
I agree that our country does not seem to be headed in the right direction. I don't believe that choosing between the blue devil or the red devil matters or is a meaningful distinction.
I don't like working with people like Under the Gun. He is an amazing player but really fails to listen and use his teammates strengths. It's his way or the highway. Again, UTG is amazing and way better than me.
The guy leading you made some horrible choices during the Pangea game. When you are that far behind and getting bad dice you need to go for it. You guys should of each setted and went to kill one of them. Because you were so far behind from bad dice it was an all or nothing play. He took the conservative route which ended in you losing the game. Rewatching it, at the point of suggesting the double set once your only chance to win it. Even if he has good dice and wins the bonus you still die before your turn. He even says it at the end. They went 1st 2nd and forth but you had the chance to flip the script by setting early.
This game mode is dope. So much pressure. Cooperation must be perfect to make it through. Loved the content 🔥
I know it's easy to point out the bad calls, but remember they have 60 seconds turns and are under a lot of pressure.

This is really cool to live stream a 3v3 and listen to team strategy.
That Grey player may be good but he's a terrible teammate. If only he would listen. I'm surprised that one game you and blue just didn't do what we all knew was the right move..
We all knew the deal. I think it's better to have the ability to make cohesive team decisions so someone needs to be in charge. Win or lose.
Ggs and love the content! I feel like a deep analysis into one or more of the games you lost in this final would make for a great WOYBB episode.
UTG got tunnel vision on that 3rd match. I’m not a grandmaster, but even I saw they were setting up to kill you when Synn placed that 3 stack top right. Ultimately I know I'm not at the top of my game in team risk so I'm happy to defer to a lead player in this context.
There’s not a day that goes by that I forgot of this match against you guys! An absolute Honor Pete🔥
I wish that the team risk videos were more popular because then I could do it more. Ggs man!
Love the team play. Not sure why there's no sound though?
Undergun was a bit pushy for his vision. I think he needed a bit more.push back frankly
Cap game was all on UTG making the wrong calls. You and John allowed him to make game calls that killed both of you.

Why did you leave that first game early? Is it only played to the first kill?

We played well. Our opponents also played well.
I hope the boys will want me on their team again next season and we capture the trophy.
