That's absurd. Two things we can deduce from this. 1) The casino owners want to shuffle everybody into their gambling halls to take a rest there instead of resting in public. 2) Las Vegas needs more public space for pedestrians and it's preposterous to make people climb up stairs to walk over massive streets when those streets contain plenty of space that could simply be pedestrianized.

Stupid reason to cancel a trip lol
@SASDPNV no it isn't if that what else???
Better not trip over your shoe laces on the pedestrian walk, can't stop to tie them
@@SASDPNV you must be a democrat.
Inmate 1: What are you here for?
Inmate 2: Murder. You?
Inmate 1: Stopping to tie my shoe.
If you're moving... you're not spending money in our casinos!
Here we go. Clark County Comissioner as corrupt as Sgt. Kevin Menon of Metro.
Smells like a 1A violation to prevent a person from stopping for any reason in public spaces
Wtf whose ready for all of us to go and just stand there
Coach said, "Oh! Now what a wonderful world we live in... Kids out here killing their parents and they're locking people up for this... bullshit? Nonsense!" Anybody feel safer now?
I have seen locals in Vegas with signs on their front lawns that read " This is not California "
However, it seems like this is a California-style law.
Pedestrian: Help, I got mugged and they broke my ankle.
Cop: You better keep crawling or you're going to jail.
Policing for profit. Since it's Vegas, what odds can I get for $$ FINE $$ versus jail?
Freedom? Just not free to stop at a bridge.
They want that bail money
You can bet the bar association is all for this law. The lawyers are really happy about it.
So if a tourist is on a bridge taking pictures of the strip they can be arrested, that’s completely insane !!!
Taxation by citations and incarceration. There are already laws for real crimes. They arrest people who they believe to be able to pay the fines and post bail , if you were homeless and mentally disabled they wouldn’t since there is no money to make from persons who dont gave jobs or material things to lose if arrested.
Ridiculous! Everyone stops at the bridges to take pictures!
That's a helluva money generator. But the lawsuits will generate more.
YO VEGAS! You aint the only city in this world with partying, restaurants, casinos, clubs, and shows.
Better SIGNAGE. is NEEDED.
I saw 3 metro cops stopped on the bridge between NYNY and MGM…. they were chatting… are they guilty of the crime ? Yup…. Are they going to be charged? Nope…. Because the thin blue line… the cops are allowed to be above the law….
No police are sovereign citizens the laws don’t apply to police officers, judges, prosecuting, attorneys or anyone in government, their sovereign citizens the law don’t apply to them
Reason 1,428 why I won't be going to Vegas.
Many if not all were illegal unconstitutional. FTLVMPD
I will NEVER go back there
Talk about a waste of resources. Like these officers could be on the roads finding drunks and those with no plates. This is just plain STUPID and a WASTE of money
What if you have some old dude with an oxygen tank having to stop and take a breather?
This is crazy!!! Unconstitutional at best. But the sheep are use to being herded.
Stand up for human rights and against the police state.
Boycott Vegas!
Another method of leaving your hard earned cash in Vegas
How ridiculous.
Didn’t they have a cop up on one of those starting chit not to long ago?
How ridiculous!
You need to keep moving and spend money, or you will be fined
The elected officials should be sent to prison for a year for passing a stupid law.
That's a public funded walkway. You have a right to stand there.
They’ve got to be joking right? This is what lawmakers in Vegas are concerned with?
Ridiculous BS.
Clark county is about to do give huge amount of money on one of these lawsuits. Sad and pathetic, that these kind of people actually created a"law" for something else walking through a bridge. It's as vague as people will stop and take pictures and look around at the sightseeing. The most stupidest law in that city.
Man has heart attack on bridge, gets arrested for stopping.
Isn’t it “Publicly Funded “? So what’s next’s parks and sidewalks all over the city.
I will never visit las Vegas any more.
I thought this was America, LAND OF THE FREE
Not anymore 🤮
Maybe they ment "land of the fee".
It’s never been the land of the free, for this first few decades it still had slavery, then mandatory segregation, now it’s an oligarchy. It’s probably one of the least actually free nations there is
WE never voted for this .
This is stupid! Im sure we paid for that bridge ..
So you saying that all 122 people didn't listen to the officers? You want me to believe that
what kinda mind do you have to have to come up with something like this???
The people trained to enforce this law are working with feelings. They will charge you with this crime at WILL
What if your tieing your shoe
Hopefully you have a good last name your that shoe tie will land you in Jail 😂😂
Use your common sense. Do you honestly believe MSM telling you you'll be arrested for temporarily stopping on Vegas walkways?
Hop on one foot. Just keep moving! LOL
