Have you tried the Permaroof rubber roofing products? Used their gear last year to roof a garden room and would recommend! Their edge and 2 part gutter trims are ace 👌
Great video guys, thanks for sharing these golden nuggets 🙏 I’ve just spotted your internal and external leaves are on the same height at the door threshold and you just covered the side cavity. What you do with the bottom cavity normally? Door normally sits on the outside wall and there is a huge cavity behind
I’m afraid This build is not the best its very much “that’ll do” which it will I’m sure but many finishes and methods could be so much more efficient and of better quality however I’d imagine your quote is not the most expensive so there is a market for everyone’s price range, although credit for putting your work out there in this manner and the effort it takes to film/edit etc.
Howdens do sell CLS door linings, I’ve used them, but they are always a bit under size, so you are better off buying over size and cutting to what you want.
Thanks for that, I did think it was rather strange but I asked the person on the other end of the phone and they said no they clearly didn’t know what I was on about 🤷
@@mrabuilders6723 around the edges where you are using fibreglass it is not airtight so all warm most air is going in that direction and forming interstitial condensation, unless I’m missing something you have created a ‘Cold roof’ perimeter.
@@tenforward7485 not necessarily, perimeter insulation on a warm roof would not constitute a cold roof being created. However, I would argue that this method of insulating does not ensure continuity of insulation nor airtightness with the risk of interstitial condensation as you mentioned and should of been insulated before the osb deck was installed. @mrabuilders6723 love the videos by the way!
@@tenforward7485 just so you know a warm deck roof is where the insulation is placed on top of the rafters and the covering is placed over the insulation, as such this is a warm deck and is correctly fitted in accordance with the building regulations
Fair bit of progress and mick was surprisingly chipper in this video. Well done fellas carry on.👍👍

Should have put that insulation in from the roof side
And that's how we do it!!!
I might start putting gutter clips like that. Takes me at least 1 minute to work out even spaces 👍🏻
Who's idea was to box in the stairs and the living room, it now looks dark and they have lost loads of space. Would of left as is.
It always come down to what the customer wants for their money and this is what they wanted 👍🏻
Is the light pendant in the existing lounge being repositioned to the centre of the room and a light switch being added to the new stud wall?
Yes mate
Bad detail around edges of roof , bad insulation detail that area will get damp

Well thank you Chris and consider our bottoms well and truly kissed. Thanks for watching 😂👍🏻
@@mrabuilders6723 Haha, good to hear it 👍
Hello
Do you know how to fill the cavity below the door opening?
They’ll probably need to take out some of the inner block work before concreting.
Hi Rich, I bet you can't wait to get them fitters pack goodies out when you're doing the next Wren kitchen 😀😀😀. Keep up the good work. 👍👍👍
😂if the next kitchen is a Wren one it won’t be me your seeing doing it and it won’t be on our channel either. Cheers mate 👍🏻
@@mrabuilders6723 I had a feeling you might being declining any offers.
I dont understand how water is transported from roof to gutter. Will there always be 1 inch of water before it overflows over the edge to the gutter?
Pushing fibreglass or rockwool in with his bare hands??? Once was enough to teach me not to do that.
Whoops! Just made a cold roof
Hi. Would you care to explain your comment I’m interested in your opinion
