I'm happy they're back. However I am disappointed with how they were implemented. It feels like these bosses were meant to be for the Party Mode yet they got migrated into the lackluster Solo Mode. They could've been done as the Minigame on the final turn with 1st place getting a Star rather than the traditional Coins. That way the Final Minigame would make more of a difference and give the players actual incentive to try and get the most points in the Boss Minigame.
And I hope someone rips the ingame model of both them and the Big/Mega Rocky Wrench from the Super Mario Maker games, since they have mouths that fully open compared to the Rocky Wrench’s MK8DX model, which nearly had everything except for a fully modeled mouth.
Feel like the reason they feel much shorter is because NintendoBase is playing with CPU opponents (likely set to easy or something). If it was all human players, I feel like they'd go much longer or something.
I think it's possible they're testing the waters by having bosses that don't stick around for too long, if the feature is well liked they may become longer in future installments

One thing I don't like about smp jam is that it still carries that bland generic character trend nintendo has been Regirgitating for the past 12 years. Lacks the unique characters with Identity like the mp hosts of mp 3, 5, 6, 7, 8

Did anyone know that you can make the bosses a lot more harder if you do not help anyone they will not help you so you can challenge all bosses Solo and it makes the bosses a lot more harder and more fun

I love how they're using the classic design for the Rocky Wrenches, hope they keep doing that in future games.
