    Dynamic Striking was started by a pair of black belts (Bernardo Faria &
    Michael Zenga) who feel that nothing is more important than improving
    your striking skills as much as possible in the least amount of time.
    Their aim was to create a shop for students interested in striking who
    don’t look at mixed martial arts as a sport - but as a lifestyle.

    That was one of the best pieces of advice I got as an amateur starting out was to punch in combinations and always move your head after the combination. It's weird at first but when you practice in sparring you'll get hit a lot less. Shadowboxing in a mirror helps, try to throw ur punch and pretend the guy in the mirror is your opponent, move your head with the punches coming back at you in the mirror. Also trying to make a 🔺️ shape when moving ur head, don't just move side to side. Working out legs to crouch under hooks and get the leg reflexes as good as any other fast twitch muscle in your body. Squat jumps are great for this and just shadow boxing practicing slipping under hooks and on the heavy bag same deal.

    Love snapping the head up with a jab to expose the chin for a hook. It’s nicer for you hit them in the ribs/liver: but if it’s gotta be done, it’s gotta be done.

    Can you interview Frank Dux over in Vegas? There has been a lot of buzz around him with martial arts fans. Teddy, you would ask the most valuable questions regarding his fight career and teachings. Thank you for your time Mr. Teddy. We fans would love to hear your thoughts on the famous triangle of force and get your take of Mr. Dux’s Philosophy.

      What does Teddy Atlas know about any of the stuff Frank Dux claims to know about? Teddy is a boxing trainer. Frank Dux claims the movie bloodsport is his autobiography.

    • @antoniocapulera
      @antoniocapulera 2 роки тому +1

      @@jandro8370 When Dux demonstrates a punch, Teddy would be able to break down the techniques to his audience and the fight world. It would be a great discussion about mixed martial arts today compared to Kumite fights in Mexico and the Caribbean where most were held. One example, Dux can demonstrate the science of breaking bullet proof glass, and Teddy can break that down make sense to fight fans. I would love to hear Frank and Teddy discuss what fighters are missing in MMA as far as inner growth through martial arts. Also, I think they will get along great!

    • @jandro8370
      @jandro8370 2 роки тому

      @@antoniocapulera all that would be great if Frank Dux wasn't a complete liar lol. U know he literally made up his entire martial arts career and background? I'm sure ur familiar. Bloodsport is about as true as a Harry Potter movie. Theres only 1 video that Dux claims is him where he's actually fighting an opponent and its been debunked that its not him, so there's really no footage of Frank Dux doing anything except breaking blocks on the local news or some shit. Teddy Atlas only talks to real competition ready fighters or retired from competition fighters. Pretty sure he would rip Dux a new asshole because Teddy has been training guys to box since the 80s. He's all real no bullshit.

    • @antoniocapulera
      @antoniocapulera 2 роки тому

      @@jandro8370 Hey brother, i’m not sure if you were aware but there is a lot of new interviews were Frank has come out of the dark as a United States diplomat. He did not want his private life to become personal because he is trying to save lives and reunite families in Korea. You have to understand the kumite was illegal. I have to understand that certain video footage can’t be out for committees because in other countries peoples families would’ve been killed for it if they were exposed. I’m talking black dragon and Yakuza.
      It turns out that footage in question is actually Frank because the CIA ran it under facial recognition technology and it was a 98% match for Frank. This is new information because there was an actual investigation. There is a lot you need to catch up on, because, the more that Americans believe Frank Dux was fake; The more of a chance he had to survive as a United States Diplomat. When his jealous peers began to speak against him that was the straw that broke the camels back.. Frank is coming out of the dark and he is more than proving his case so try to give him a chance if you are a true fight fan. I believe you will be surprised and it will help you to see both sides of the story.

    • @jandro8370
      @jandro8370 2 роки тому

      @@antoniocapulera dude when I was a kid I thought Frank Dux was for real. I boxed from an early age and my grandpa was an amateur in Cuba his whole life. I loved any kind of fighting from the age of 5 on. Bloodsport was one of my favorite movies. I thought the Kumite was real. Now that I am a grown man I think to myself why would the world's best fighters risk being killed or maimed in a secret underground tournament that nobody will even know if they won? How would a man be able to continue through a whole kumite? Even if he wins all his fights the chances of getting injured in a bracket system is very high and being unable to continue. Thinking back to all the tourneys I was in as an amateur and just seeing how any type combat sport plays out in real life, the kumite sounds impossible. Seeing the top pros in mma today and their skill levels after a lifetime of training being nowhere near where Dux claimed to be just makes me think he's lying. Why wouldn't he have challenged people to fights? Why would he not want to make millions and be the famous American hero he claims to be by fighting on TV for a promotion? Look at the Gracie family. Pretty much invented modern mma. They issued the Gracie challenge and said they would give like 40k to whoever could beat one of them. They were real fighters that eventually lost in their own ways but were way ahead of their time and were willing to prove it and did many times. If everything u say about him being a CIA Informant/ diplomat than why did he write the book Bloodpsport? Is that not all top secret info that any top operative would be disavowed for claiming? Or are you going to say that's exactly what happend and why his military record reflects 0 armed combat. The sword he said he won that he probably almost died for he said gave to Somali pirates to let sex trafficked children to go free? Do u believe that? Why is the kumite not around today? Wouldn't the world's best fighters in mma and boxing get an invite? If it existed why would It be a secret. Look a pride fc, very popular promotion with very little rules, tournament setup, attracted the best fighters in the world. Who else is better than those guys? Because if they were that good they would be doing something that Involved fighting and make millions like every other great fighter. Theres just so many common sense questions that come to mind when speaking about Frank Dux that cannot be answered. Alot of of big time investigating journalists have done pieces on Bloodsport and Dux and not one person can find a single shred of truth in anything he says. On the contrary have only found evidence that he is lying. Also they used facial recognition software on a 35 year old video with the resolution of a foggy night? Sure it looks like Dux is why people thought it was him but I'm pretty sure they found the real person and debunked that whole video. Are you being serious lol? Or trolling? I really can't tell.

    Teddy is a boxing guru he teaches old school boxing and forgotten techniques and work outs hes the one who showed me how to originally use a speed bag it used to be in front of u chest level with the bag hanging sideways it got a bit harder fir the newer gen so they started hitting the speed bag from above your head and hung it up over the head also a heavy bag with no 360 movment is not worth using turn it into a ground and pound bag the bag should be able to go anywhere anytime back then people hung there bags with ropes not chains why because when they hit the bag it moved every where and u have to reposition yourself and at times the whole bag was jumping at u it simulated more of a movable op when u dont move around the heavy bag u devolpe a bad habit we call it taking a picture after every shot u dont wanna be a broner
