Jack: You!? give me legal hentai!? I LIKE THE ILLEGAL!
Anyone else really like the idea of Jack being a former assassin?
Was an interesting concept since we literally know nothing about the real jack but i think the dlc was too short to really develop that idea should have been 5-10+hours even if it was for 30-40$ (also imagine if it would have released in a stand alone version like undead nightmares in 2010)
Its a really good point there even tho its not really a evidence or whatever
Assassins are tend to be stealthy and not getting caugth and jack the ripper did that with no trace what so ever
E ovvio
@@ramisotto8243that’s because he was already unstable, and then he snapped. He didn’t care about stealth anymore, hence the Fear Tactics.
I think it's poetic that we see the assassins as such heros and Jack as a physcotic villain even though they relatively do the same thing with similar motives

I love how the theme is basically a twisted version of Ezio's Family, exactly what Jack did:
Twist the creed's tenants
Love it
I really dont see it. How do you mean?
@@chrismoore5333 0:35 around this moment ezios family plays
@@John_Bendy_Demon Oh my god. That's a great catch!
I don't think it's Ezio's theme. Melody isn't finished
in all honesty I was hoping the Jack the ripper dlc would be longer and ending with Jack getting away
@@RookBone i hoped that jacob is jack the ripper, that would made so epic plot twist
@@NostalgicMem0ries yes, Evie slaying jack makes no sense. Jack was so strong that he could easily rip Evie apart. The story sucks. No one was able to catch Jack.
O agree
Nostalgic memories Nah, that would be trash.
The DLC sucks so bad. I just wish we could play as Jack The Ripper for the whole game. Free roam I mean.
Sounds like a mix of Brotherhood, Black Flag and Dead Kings.
Yeah
For me it kinda sounds like the Sherlock Holmes theme
Yeah
@@richardbenej6154 so true
That's the best thing about it!
Not gonna lie, when I first got the dlc and saw what was supposedly Jack killing Jacob I said, "Holy shit he killed one of the main characters. He's awesome AND my favorite character now!" Nowadays I kinda take an impression off of him and put him in red dead online. You can find me in Saint Denis, IF you can find me.
I am the saint Denis version of The Axe man in red dead online if you have PlayStation add me it’s KNIGHT-WINGS1
@@KnightWings-kd3dy Sorry but I played it on xbox. Lmao I forgot about this comment. I still think he's pretty cool though.
@@psychicpebbles7910 I’ve taken up your mantle mate lol
Jesus this comment was threatening
I was playing this on my head when Jack was introduced on Record of Ragnarok...
There was bound to be at least 1 comment mentioning RoR
“Oh you best be careful Madame, for there’s a killer that walks these streets tonight. And that killers name is jack, Jack the Ripper that is.”
When I saw a broken mirror I started to suspect Jacob went crazy and the beginning was actually inside his mind all along
Part of me suspected that a Piece of Eden had driven Jacob mad and turned him into Jack the Ripper, and that the end would be Evie finding the PoE and saving Jacob.
All in all, I liked the DLC, but I think it would have been much better had they included PoEs. No Templars, though, I actually enjoy the whole "there's trouble and this time it isn't Templars" kinda thing!
@@elise205 Spoiler
When you talk to the prisoners from Jack's prison a good amount of them are wearing the clothing design of the templar captains that appear all over the place..
This soundtrack definitely kept the Victorian style of the original game but just made it so much more menacing. Personally, I think this DLC is the best one the franchise has ever had and it shouldn't have been as much fun as it was to play Jack, but I do think that there should've been more to it. The concept was good and the missions were all good but it felt too short and, of course, it wasn't historically accurate. It would've made more sense for Jack to escape but, then again, at no point in history was there a Brotherhood of Assassins in India that trained Jack the Ripper, so I don't really know what I was expecting, lmao
I mean... you never know, of course nothing exists in the exact way it's portrayed in the games, but there's a lot of human history that hasn't been recorded
Prove he was never trained by Indian assassins or it will forever be my headcanon of what truly happened.
Dead Kings and Jack the ripper are the best dlc's atmospherically for sure
This is dope. I knew the man who did The Walking Dead theme wouldn't dissappoint!
+Sean O'Donnell and battlestar galactica and defiance
+Oylerzoid Let's not forget Battlestar Galactica.
have you heard his work on black sails? crazy talented

reminds me of when my dad went to buy some milk in London but ended up becoming a serial killer
Yo what's your dad's name? No reason in particular just... ya know.
Would you mean a cereal killer?
I'll show myself out
@@jeremywilson3902 Is this a Serhlock reference?

This dude ended up making the godzilla soundtrack for KOTM. What a legend!
And the Childs play reboot
And God of war 4
Yea and the soundtracks sound amazing
@@dubstrap6095 And The walking dead!
It`s like Bloodborne music, very scary and gorgeous.
One of the few boss fights where I was genuinely scared, because I knew Jack had Eagle Vision too.
1:11 *DARK KNIGHT INTENSIFIES*
an epic theme song fit for a gentleman
the true essence of a gentleman
@@marcosbradanovic9100 you right "Sir"
Seriously, this guy: Bear McCreary appears into my life and he makes all these awesome soundtracks. Where did he come from all of the sudden? XD
His home?
TheDarthDestruktor It was a rhetorical question. And if it wasn't the right answer would probably be his mother's womb or something XD
@@TheDarthDestruktor r/wooosh
this music freak me out i feel it from the start
Really creepy. It will be fun to play.
This track is rather interesting.
It's written in such a way that, if played on the instruments of a metal band, it would sound really heavy and intense; The "riffs" and dissonant polyrhythms remind me a bit of The Dillinger Escape Plan's writing style, especially the "breakdown" at 0:40
Absolutely sick track, and I've never played AC:Syndicate \m/
Bear McCreary has an unmistakable sound.
Sounds kinda like a combination of the Sleepy Hollow and Walking Dead themes.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Same
The guy who wrote the walking dead theme is the guy who wrote this 😉
McCreary made the best soundtrack for AC Syndicate!
No words for this piece of art..
Bear McCreary.....best composer ever!
Does that replace what Lorne Balfe did for AC III and Revelation
This has McCreary written all over it XD I love it
2:34 best part
I don't know why but... He can be my favorite assassin
Theres alot of feeling here. Anxiety, hate, dispair, fear, and even just a slight of harmony
he was the real assassin , never caught
Interesting... it has some Indian instruments in there. I love it!
+Writer Shard
Those aren't Indian instruments you're hearing.
In Bear's own words from his site: www.bearmccreary.com/#blog/blog/video-games/assassins-creed-syndicate-jack-the-ripper/
"Thinking about the mystery and horror of Jack, my imagination immediately went to percussive stringed instruments: pianos, harpsichords and hammered dulcimers. I detuned each instrument to varying degrees, so that the combined result would be rich with oscillating waveforms clashing against one other. In my experience, notes that are slightly out of tune are more disturbing and exciting than ones that are extremely out of tune. I also bashed a piano with mallets, scraped strings, and inflicted mayhem on these poor instruments. These techniques created a signature color palette that I could draw from to instantly evoke the presence of Jack the Ripper. This was my musical representation of brutal power and insanity."
+kyoukoku I swear, I can hear a tabla in there. At least very early on, in the background. I didn't mean the string instruments.
+kyoukoku If you read the entire thing, he speaks about the indian instruments, to personalize Evie's return from India. There are Tablas and a mixture of a Tanbur and a cello.
I believe there is also a dulcimer somewhere in there
Thanks for Info dude wow you know much about it
THE DEVIL KNOWN AS JACK THE RIPPER!
Is it only me or at 2:12 it sounds sorta like Master Assassin from AC Brotherhood? Great music anyway!!
+Maria Liu Now when you mentioned it... It kinda does! :D
+Maria Liu oh yes! is very similar :D
Very old, but this track is a twisted remake of the AC themes. To reference that Jack twisted the creed’s tenants
A pure symphony of hatred, strength, pressure, vengeance!!!
i love this soundtrack,it's amazing...
I love how you can hear Ezios family at one point during this song
This music should be in a movie of Jack the ripper
london bridge is falling down.
I'm really late to this one but did anyone else feelt like this dlc hit different I mean I didn't expect it to be that brutal especially when you played as jack
Very impressive OST. Greatly appreciated.
One of the greatest dude
This is the first ever composition I’ve heard in my life where it sounds like it was composed in a diminished key
This music just made the dlc that much better the erie music playing in the background as you're walking through dark corridors and being chased agh i love it
Awesome music...Gives me the creeps!
I love how it’s a seriously twisted rendition of other Assassin’s Creed themes
I wish this DLC story was longer, i remember when it first came out and i was able to finish it in just a few hours but it was a very good story to play through
Spoopy
Spoopy indeed
I also felt spooped listening to this.
i love to hear it
Jacob: Jack let me help and heal you, we can fix this together
Jack:together....I.. AM...A...Madness
So it is coming! Just looked at the release date. Sometime this month. Can't wait! Love the soundtrack, very eerie (well it would have to be)!
i love this song
Reminds me of Batman Arkham Asylum
Sounds like something you'd hear when Joker enters the room
i was here to open this song reading jack vs hercules in record of ragnarok i hope it would fit somehow
this slightly reminds me of dishonored.
when im down & listen to creepy music like this. I get pumped up.
Jack the ripper was a legend...
Never know Who He is..

I love this moment 2:25 - 2:32

0.35 is one of the best parts
The most notorious serial killer of all time: JACK THE RIPPER! He was never caught and they are still looking for him
No, they aren't. He's long dead. He's from the Victorian era.
Justin Fung I think what he meant by ”they are still looking for him” is that they are trying to identify him with the available resources and information they have remaining.
Schwartztit
I know, but are they?
Justin Fung Yes, the case isnt a top priority but the fact that a single man could commit so many homicides without being caught is haunting, therefore his methods or ability to elude authority is highly valuable for police departements or agancies
Schwartztit
Cool, I'm actually interested now. Could you send me something on that?
Ey Boss, If you are having trouble hearing this song, instead of you lending an Ear I can lend you one if you need.
That one scene from Sherlock : The Abominable Bride
Reminds me a lot of Moriarty
Lol Yes
Where i can find "Jack`s Shout" ?
What kind of instrument or sound altering software did they use at around 0:56?
Harpsichord
The thing i love about this character was that he would scared others with those combos
YUSSS!
Reminds me of Constantine and yes, I know why. :D
man they should make a movie about this guy I know they did before but I'm talking about a new one
cool
If they ever do a movie adaption for the Fate Grand Order 4th Singularity, this is what should be playing as Jackie stalks Ritsuka and Mash through the foggy London streets.
It's custom made for her skills, the rising and falling chords make it seem like she could pop out of the mist at any time, and her Info-Erasure makes her as hard to deal with as the Silent from Doctor Who, except she can shank like a pro.
Nathaniel Burkett Bruh what.
This dlc was noice 👌
Michael Rosen?
This sounds like Halloween music
It makes me feel hatred and I know my futur
Mto legal :D
I loved the story behind the real Jack the ripper and I love the look of the dlc and the music but the story for it and that made me pretty upset. I was hoping to enjoy a great jtr dlc but nah I got a rather mediocre job dlc
good
I don't know what it was about playing as Jack but it made me like five times more aggressive. As Evie I'd try to be sneaky and use fear only when it would benefit me, like doing a brutal kill only with a few enemies within earshot. As Jack, I couldn't give less of a damn about stealth. I'd walk in the front door and butcher the first guy I found, then just repeat with every other guard that hadn't yet run away. I barely did parkour, I barely crouched, I just walked around and brutalized anyone that came in my way
The definition of my severe anxiety..
This song is creepy and badass
bruh jack has the coolest fucking costume with his top hat hell ya
"And I Coming For You....Eie Frye!!!"
Is it just me or the music at 0:57 kinda sounds like the upside down theme from stranger things?
Let’s be honest. The beginning Is the best part
Anyone notice he's wearing Jacobs hat
The Real Ramsay Its mainly because in real life, he was presumed to be a sophisticated, upper class man by day but a serial killer by night
But it’s interesting to imagine he wears a top hat as an insult to Jacob, to be his shadow and copy him.
