The Black Skirts, a prominent South Korean indie rock band, was founded in 2010 by Jo Hyu II or Bryan Cho. Known for their distinctive blend of lo-fi indie rock and shoegaze, their music features dreamy melodies and powerful guitar riffs. Their influence has been instrumental in popularizing the lo-fi sound in the Korean indie music scene, inspiring a new generation of musicians. Their songs have been featured in various films and TV shows, solidifying their legacy as one of South Korea’s most beloved indie rock bands.
