Thats wonderful that the cove is open again. It's been a rough Spring in Washington State. I have not been very successful getting to locations because of the late season snow and tree blowdowns. There was some pretty heavy snow in mid May. I was up in the Mount Saint Helens area in May and there was about 20" snow even at just 2000' elevation.
A lot is weather dependent. Sometimes I get as frustrated as a woodpecker in a petrified forest. Sometimes everything works. Both versions work well. Personally, I favor the black and white, but I also like the color. In the last secquence, I like the color. It was different than the first day.
Pretty nice scene James, you did well to get what you could. When my wife and I photograph on Long Beach, and it is dreary and raining like this, we always go to our favorite location that is always a winner, The Long Beach Bakery. The views and atmosphere are the best. :) Keep up the good work!
I like the first night in B&W and thought the second night sky colors went well with the rest of the scene and added a moody touch. I've been there and know how red that sky can get, but liked what you got anyway.
Black and White 😊
God bless you and your family
Beautiful thank you
I really respect a photographer who can carry a small to mid-size pack.
It’s a 24 or 25 liter Mindshift. My favorite overall backpack. 👍🏻
Your second shot was a nice one. It's an appealing geography, nice to take in even without any luck with the photographing.
liked the color better. you got some nice greens out of the moss even if the sky wouldn't cooperate.
The B&W. Thanks
Black and white looks better to me, but I almost always shoot in monochrome. I would bring the bright water down by maybe a third.

It’s been non-stop rain and hardly any days over 60. Crazy. But it’s getting better!

I was there for 4 nights and left Friday the 3rd so just missed you.
Was the weather any better?
@@JamesParkerPhotography Not much better than what you had. Wanted to shoot some Pelicans but must still be too early for them.

I’ll try the Long Beach Bakery next time for sure. 👍🏻

Thanks Juanita! I’ll be back to try again.
B&W
Pretty decent location but the light wasn’t working for you either day.
Mark - you are so correct. I'll be back to try again.
What part of Pennsylvania/New York do you hail from?
Mark - I’m not from either. I live in Vancouver Washington.
