Nice video Anna. Please make shimoga to bengaluru. Shimoga to sringeri road. Bellary to mantralayam. Bellary to anantapur. Bellary to hubballi via hospet .
From my experience of travelling to Jog Falls from NH69 and SH5, I feel this is best route if anyone coming from Karwar/Kumta side going towards Jog/Sagara than the SH going towards Bhatkal. If anyone going towards Mangalore SH5 is preferred, but the only downside is half of the road is butter smooth and the other half is very narrow which has only had passage for one vehicle only. And the NH69 is very scenic and SH5 passes through a thick jungle and forest checkpost.
Even from Mangalore, this is the best option. I've travelled in all 3 routes(Agumbe-Thirthahalli/Bhatkal-Kargal/Honnavar-Gerusoppa) and found the Honnavar route to be the quickest, most hassle-free and safest of the lot. The toll will be slightly higher for 4-wheelers but it's totally worth it. 3:30 hours to Honnavar, another 1:30 hours to Jog.
Where ever possible Bengaluru - Honnavara (B.H.) Road has been made straight for transporting of Heavy Electrical Equipments to Mahatma Gandhi Hydro Electricity Generation Plant (MGHE) at Jog which was commisioned during 1947 to 1952. Also for construction of Linganamakki dam and Sharavathi Electric Generating station afterwards in 1960's.
Superb bro keep it up 👍
The conductor calling out the village of my last name at around 15:43 brought a smile on my face. Thanks for taking us on the ride. :)
