@@guywithscares I'm not sure how many parts I'll end up doing but I plan to cover every mechanic along the way. I'm currently working on animation cancelling and another thing I discovered, which is that most heavy melee attacks do less damage than light attacks. Meaning If you don't block heavy attacks, not only will it do typically less damage than most attacks, but it also will not stagger you and thus you are able to continue blocking light attacks that otherwise would've hit. I'm still figuring it all out but I appreciate it, you're bang on with how it works, I've tried and tried to cancel mid melee but it doesn't exactly help you be more offensive, its best for getting out of situations as you say.
As someone who has been using the powerfist as soon as i unlocked it. i can tell you how it was prior..terrible. The weapon has no range and slow swing speed(still does) that even if you got a charged hit you would be shot down before even getting the next swing in. For rn i get it might be overtuned but its all it kind of has going for it. Id be worried if they nerfed it and didnt give any other buffs to compensate. Plus there is counter play to simply out space the fist.
I did abit of research for my Bulwark guide because I was originally going to rush leveling so I could cover it, and every bit of advice suggested it's underwhelming and not worth rushing. It then got buffed immediately afterwards but now its too far the other way. I agree that the fist needs to offer more, but one shotting has be off the table lmao! Edit: I feel one shotting is okay IF the fist is fully charged because that takes some skill to do and is high risk high reward.
The one shotting is fine considering how slow and how much shit range it has, every time someone charges it up you can roll once and they won’t reach you at all, not to mention the amount of shots you can get off before they even release it lol
@@IAmWaved if the fist needs to be fully charged i can agree with that. Because ive ran into good players who just simply roll away and out space the fist and then i cant do nothing. Its the mindless ppl who keep rushing me after ive one shot them 3 times already that might be complaining the most lol.
All combos that aren’t quick attack mash out should stagger not matter what weapon. Tired of getting gunned down in the middle of putting this sword on people!
Thank God the grind to actually unlock the powerfist is so absurd.
here' some advanced tec, you can cancel melee animations with a block. it doesn't seem to let you hit faster but lets you get out bad situations
