Granted, he was imposing at 8' and 450 pounds, but he was an attraction, really. Would've never of really hired him in the WWF. Would've had someone like Adam Bomb or maybe jump-start the Taker-Yoko feud a year earlier. But I do admit, Giant Gonzales was pretty intimidating in his own right.
I preferred his wrestling outfit that had furry parts to it. It made him look like a giant barbarian and not like a circus exhibit like his non furry suit did.
Giant Gonzalez should have his own Dark Side of the Ring episode, he entered wrestling being a complete outsider, a poor young guy who grew up in Formosa, one of the most underdeveloped provinces in Argentina, and couldn't even afford to buy himself sneakers because he was Size 56 and had to learn the basics of basketball wearing sandals before entering wrestling, and he only entered wrestling because one of Ted Turner workers discovered him at a basketball game, he died at 44 from diabetes and if it wasn't for the donations people made to him he would have died younger and in complete poverty, most wrestling fans criticize him for his lacks of skills, but how can you expect a 7ft7 guy to do a Hurricanrana or a 450 Splash? He also didn't know anything about basketball or professional wrestling before he had the opportunity to try those sports, he probably didn't even know wrestling was a thing before he left his hometown of El Colorado, Gonzalez was a legend and as an Argentinian it makes me sad that people don't acknowledge him here as much as wrestling fans do, and most wrestling fans today only criticize him because today we are spoiled with matches where we can see 500 Canadian Destroyers per minute and nothing is impressing anymore, but back in the early 90's Gonzalez was an incredible sight to see, and that was what really mattered

He was without question the largest pro wrestlers in the history of the WWE at 7'7. In WCW he was know for his ginormous size and that was it. His wrestling ability was nothing short of OK. Sadly he is no longer with us. Vince was noted for getting huge massive men and this one took the award as such. The gimmick would have been so much better. He passed in 2010 at age 40 due to diabetes and other complications a big man his size would endure.
